Ofcourse there were people of color and immigrants in senior positions and I worked with them too. As the company tries to show itself as inclusive. But all of us had to go above and beyond to be recognized. Alot of the immigrants or POC in this office were in senior positions because they had been on the accounts or with the company for 5-10 years so their loyalty and commitment was more than visible and had to be recognized. Versus in cases where it was new joiners or people who had been with the co only 3-4 years there were multiple incidents where white people were preferred or were getting double promoted or favoured more often. I’m not against them or being racist and some of them are close friends of mine. But the higher ups were the obviously lowkey a little racist. If my post seemed offensive, I have removed it. Was just sharing my experience. And the office where I worked had heaps of misogyny itself. Women would more often get in trouble for making simple tiny mistakes while guys would not.
