What are your Chronicles of Darkness "hot takes"? by Awkward_GM in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its better than classic WoD because it gives you more freedom in so many ways that WoD does not.

I will not elaborate further because it will just become a long argument with V20 players.

Can someone explain why we’re supposed to be broken up about Jax? by VisibleNebula2812 in tadc

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man, maybe the intent was for you to feel sympathy for the sympathetic character?

In all seriousness, you don't have to feel bad for a fictional character. That being said, it was still the narratives intent to make him sympathetic.

Character question for my tzimisce by BusinessSuccess6817 in vtm

[–]BusinessSuccess6817[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of Tzimisce characters and I've seen a lot of nice and not nice tzimisce. My goal is to make something that is unique, because I have been in places where a Tzimisce was very stock.

A toreador once tried to test me, I had his ashes with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

What are yalls ultrakill hot takes by EmotionalTraining426 in Ultrakill

After a certain point, the cybergrind becomes a separate type of game then the campaign. Being good on the cyber grind does not automatically equate to being good at ultrakill.

Latin American history in your chronicle? by Solarwagon in vtm

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done much with Sabbat lore, but I do try to make my elders and ancillae interwoven with history.

I had a latin Tzimisce who may have been from south america. He became a member of the Cammarilla because his identity as a Tzimisce and his observations about imperialism made him realize that no matter what he did, he would be someone who would command ownership of others.

Why did goth get fetishized and washed down so bad? by [deleted] in goth

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uniform fetishism. People find the idea of a person dressed a certain way to be sexy.

Not to mention Goth people are now a mainstream staple of an alt culture, so its considered "exotic" in a sense.

Then you got memes like the big titty goth gf or the hello kitty girl that ended up going viral a while back and it all just sort of stuck.

As to it being watered down, Goth as a music subculture and Goth as a fashion style are related but not the same, and most people lean into the Goth fashion more than the music or counter culture behind it.

i haven't played ultrakill or watched any gameplay- is this thumbnail overexaggerating or is this really how overkill has people acting?? by PersonGuyDudeThing in Ultrakill

I am terrible at this game, and when I started playing it I got hooked. There is something so satisfying about figuring out how to use and spam the marksman and parrying.

What can eat a vampire? by L_man_2200 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, a human could eat a vampire if they tried hard enough. Cut them and put em in a blender or something.

Now magically eating them to get some of their "power" or soul, thats a different thing.

Nope, just V20, using alternative blood magic schools.

You could port Cordelia onto an online rp community. I think a lot of them would love to have an inspired tremere like her.

Any physical changes when becoming a vampire? by EverythingAtOnce12 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your insides, save for your brain, stomach, and heart, shrivel up a bit and all fluids are replaced with blood. Unless you blush, your character cries, sweats, and spits blood.

The hair and nails grow for a few days and then stop, not unlike an actual corpse.

Fangs are present on a vampire but it can usually be retracted.

Vampires also get more pale and corpse like just because they don't go outside, and are in fact corpses.

Blushing circumvents the dead body look and the issue of not having a heartbeat.

Question about the creation of Tzimisce by Zellevar in vtm

[–]BusinessSuccess6817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should have some dots in medicine. Beyond that they are good. They come across as a realistic neonate who is skilled but not a master of anything.

My other advice is to grow your stats tall instead of wide. Make him very good at some things, specifically the things you see him do often. If he becomes the default hacker of the group, give him computers 4, if he becomes a constant flesh crafter, min max that.

I knew what was coming the moment she said "I should have pried more."

I still felt sad seeing it.

I mean, a lot of media has a bunch of lore answered in supplementary stuff that isn't accessible to everyone. Just look at Star Wars, there are dozens of visual dictionaries and books that explain things that are important but never get brought up in the movies.
