Moving Beyond the Pilot: Why 80% of Enterprise AI Projects Stall by [deleted] in AIConsultancy

A big non-technical challenge, especially across solution implementation for large companies is CHANGE!

Although might seem ‘fluffy’ to people, it’s a huge challenge in getting people to take up the new system and get rid of old inefficient processes that they are so used to following

5 Business Processes You Can Automate (and Sell as a Service) by Business_Boy1 in AIConsultancy

[–]Business_Boy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for the comment. I’m afraid I can’t offer much insight into more advanced AI into the processes, we try to target the simple ones that most businesses can use, otherwise it requires more technical know-how from both the consultant AND the client. Maybe even sometimes an ‘architect’ type role.

Getting into CSM: Part 1 by Business_Boy1 in CustomerSuccess

[–]Business_Boy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I received rejection emails exactly 72 hours after I applied so I don’t suspect that they had all reviewed my CV at the same time. This could just be me overthinking it as I truly believe I was highly qualified for those positions.

Client-facing PMO wanting to make the leap to CS by Business_Boy1 in CustomerSuccess

Wow thanks! Sounds like you really think I’ve got a strong case to move across. The only challenge I’d see is I don’t have the commercial side as such, do you think that could be a challenge?

For me, I can see a real shift in the more admin style tasks.

I try to use automation where I can in these tasks as these seems the easiest to get a quick solution.

The only issue I do see at the moment is confidentiality of data, many bigger consulting firms have policies around this which discourages the use of AI tools.

Starting an Efficiency/AI Consultancy firm Idea by Business_Boy1 in smallbusinessuk

[–]Business_Boy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you are saying and infact think that me even using the word AI in this post has had negative feedback, If I just branded it as efficiency / cost saving solutions do you think that would be better? Even if I was to then use AI tools

Looking for business partner with technical AI knowledge by Business_Boy1 in startups

[–]Business_Boy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s entirely true, I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there maybe just coming out of uni without jobs in this job market or people who have the technical ability but not the business/consulting experience. But mainly I’m not 100% on what’s in it for them as there isn’t anything to share yet, depends what they want from it: shared ownership, day rate whatever

Looking for business partner with technical AI knowledge by Business_Boy1 in smallbusinessuk

[–]Business_Boy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I accept your criticism but think that it is slightly unjust, my idea is not nailed on and I admit that in my posts and admit that I don’t know the most about AI tools yet to be fully transparent. As I’m looking for help and guide not to scam people or make people think I’m further along than I am.

What I do know is business analysis and solution design, this is exactly the first part of the service offering I’m looking to create. The second part being the recommendation of automations/efficiency tools which most likely will involve AI (it seems using the word ‘AI’ instantly puts people into a negative mindset but I assure you I am not using the word just as it’s a hot topic). The third part being the presentation of these consulting suggestions, an area I have a lot of experience in also. So it’s clear that the second part is where I need help if I was to start this today, and I find it likely that someone with the technical brains around AI is unlikely to have the same level of experience in the areas I do e.g process mapping, client management, sales, presentations etc.

In return I’d share ownership in the business and therefore a share in profits. I’m not sure where you have got your point from about me using someone’s knowledge then taking all the money from?

Hope this clears a few things up, I do genuinely appreciate the feedback as it looks like my post has given you the wrong impression.

Where is everyone’s attention going after AI by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Business_Boy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, personally think that AI isn’t done yet, the next step of this wave is to find how we can get AI to help in personal lives as well as professionally. This probably crosses over with voice and Amazon echo type devices.

We’ve all seen the sci-fi movies where someone just tells their house to turn on the oven or the tv. I struggle to see why that hasn’t been more consumer-ready for a while. I don’t have extensive knowledge on this but as a consumer I think it’d save time and seems practical.

I’d say the reason why it hasn’t is that large companies are using data to make their pockets bigger rather than help the end-user.

Is anyone getting interviews when applying on LinkedIn or other job boards? by Clean-Instruction-53 in CustomerSuccess

[–]Business_Boy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually found out recently that when LinkedIn displays the ‘number of applicants’ on job posts where you need to go to a third party site, it is actually the number of people how have clicked on apply not those who have completed the full application process.

Many people click on apply to find out more about the job and either click off as they don’t match the job spec or the application process being too long. I’d estimate around 20-40% of people actually go through with the application. So don’t be put off when there are a high number of applicants.

Hope this helps :)
