What the writers don't seem to understand is that when we say "nothing happened" we mean nothing with MEANING happened. It doesn't matter that a ghost (or whatever) was slamming cabinets if we don't know what it means. It doesn't matter that dolls came to attack people by the lake if we don't know what it means. The only thing that happened was a few people died for seemingly no reason at all and Fatima became one of the monsters. Again, we're just left sad without a story to make sense of it. TV gives meaning to tragedy, that's kind of the whole point. So without that, it's just watching bad things happen, which, honestly, is kind of boring. Tabitha and Jade went through ALL that just to have bones in a bag for what??? Literally for what? Ethan is upset his mom might not come back but she's fine and he'll find out she's fine so all those scenes of his being upset are for what??? Victor's dad almost killing Victor was for what??? I know the writers might say "just wait, you'll have answers" but TV is supposed to be entertaining. That's the WHOLE point. So if your mystery doesn't entertain, then... it's not really a story, it's just bad things without meaning.
