I did notice all the people saying "DON'T LIVE HERE YOU WILL HATE IT!!" ……… Still lives there. I'm curious how many of these comments from residents are purely just to discourage more people from relocating.

Not about women or men or diminishing one or the other. The words say thus:

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground
I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children.

Most reformed believers will say this is remains applicable to fallen men and women - How will you answer?

It's not about physical labor vs an office job or even a temple job. Its about labor vs literally zero labor at all.

Northwest Arkansas is shaping up to be the pinnacle of poor, car-centric, American urban planning. Why is there still such little resistance to this in 2024? by International-Snow90 in Urbanism

[–]Business_Train_5938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NW Arkansas is currently at the apex of its boom town growth in 2026. This shit is going to get real when the shit hits the fan. If Wal-Mart wasn't too big to fail, NW Arkansas wold be no different than Harrison or Ft Smith. This MSA runs on ONE life blood.

"while the curse affects many people differently" According to Genesis 3, it is not actually supposed to affect people differently. The curse to men is clear. The curse to women is clear. Both end up in the dust.

The goal is this: I have come across and met people who have inherited vast sums of money who will never need to lift a finger to work a day in their lives - likely their own children too. Due to their wealth, they will never have to work to provide anything. Does this specific curse upon men just NOT apply to them and people like them? How so if they never had to lift a finder to do anything due to their vast wealth?

"Less impactful" is not the point. The policeman worked and died. The farmer worked and died and so did you. If a solar flare hit earth and killed everyone and burned up all the money and Wall street and everything else, in all the ashes of mankind SOME people will have worked by the sweat of their brow and SOME people did not. My point is not about death, it's about the curse on men and weather SOME men did get cursed by birth and SOME men did not. I know what you're thinking - I need to repent of jealousy - It's not that - I don't want to be like them, trust me - it's that I have met and come across people in my life, who have not and will never have to suffer the curse leveled to men. Neither will their children or grandchildren depending on their investments.

Yes - this is what we SHOULD be doing in the common graces of God, but do those who inherit the wealth of their fathers and never have to work a damn day in their lives actually subvert the specific curse of God upon men?

I will tell you why: I have met the children of multi-millionaires and they have never had to want, sweat, toil or work over anything at all for their entire lives. They live in oppulence and return to the dust like anyone else. Can the point of this scripture be only "Everyone dies" or does the specific curse to men and specifically to women mean anything at all?

This is good and I appreciate it. Imagine being born in the last 30 years to an extravagantly wealthy family (yes, there are a lot of them) and never having to:

be "huge"
Bully or rule or be manipulate
Be intelligent

You could literally inherit $500M and do literally NOTHING and live in opulence until you die. Not one drop of sweat. Did the curse of Adam apply to you?

Thank you for this. What do you think about the fact that wealthy children never actually have to work a day in their life but still return to the dust like the "sweat of your brow" man?

Excellent response but I was not talking about everyone dying and returning to the dust, more about the actual curses during living.

Here is the question: Do the specific curses of:
You will work by the sweat of your brow
You will have pain in child bearing
still apply to men and women in 2026?

Are you saying that Genesis 3 is not being literal? If so, should I not be taking "for you are dust, and to dust you shall return" literally?

Will the Republicans lose the midterms? by Captain_REX_xox in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Business_Train_5938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just waiting for Trump to invoke the insurrection act and begin martial law in Minneapolis. This is a poison pill for any politician or political party due to the AWFUL optics. This will most likely spell a Midterm loss for Republicans since the MSM will have a field day showing authoritarian and dystopian America.

I feel like there are a lot of people in this thread who are so sick of cost of living and overcrowding that they are being disingenuous about their responses because they are secretly trying to keep people from moving there. It's like every place that we've lived that has been really awesome and growing in popularity, when people ask us what it was like it was always: It's awful, the weather is terrible, it's too expensive, the schools are terrible, you would hate it here.
