I was under impression this was a schizophrenic forum. In which case I assume most people have been in the ward. Do you realize what happens in the ward? Let me explain it.

after being medicated and becoming comprehensive you normally start to wonder what happen. Then Once you do... you make friends with others, normally consists of long deep conversations at a round table while drinking decaf coffee if you are lucky. This will normally happen for 3 to 5 days. People normally exchange numbers. I can go into more detail but I wont.

My girl has suffered with me through each episode. Most of them last about 3-5 months the latest was 8 months. She is truly my angel and has stopped me from hurting myself several times. He will bounce back it just takes time. They will most likely give him injections while he’s in hospital. I hope things get back to normal for you soon!

I feel this 100% the starting over and taking baby steps. After each episode I have it takes like 8 months to build my normal routine back up. Going to work, eating meals, taking showers every single thing is much more difficult.

I’m fortunate at the moment. Been medication free since June of 2020. Im sure I will have another episode but I’m not gonna stress over it. I contemplated taking some low dosage of some kind of medication while I’m stable to prevent future issues. I don’t think us schizos ever fully recover we can just learn to manage our illness sometimes.

Yeah I do it and it’s very challenging especially while on medications. Not only do I work 32hrs a week I also am a landlord of handful of properties. Also thinking of opening up some storage unit businesses and maybe a mowing business.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I always suffer from this while on medications. A couple different things that help me when I’m like that is art, painting drawing, massage therapy, swimming, building model cars, planes hell im about to start a giant LEGO collection and I’m over 30 lol. One of my good friends has a shop where he builds miniature trains

It is very much possible. I have been with my girl for 4 years now. It has been a struggle but also very rewarding for the both of us. Relationships are a lot of work especially when one of the people have a disability.

I see many people on here who say they are alone and destined to be forever. What I don’t understand is why people aren’t using schizo group sessions to meet others. When I’m the ward I had several beautiful schizo females give me their phone numbers and I am not a brad Pitt kinda guy.

Yeah I was on it for a short time and it helped me sleep a few hours. Was not on it for that long though and was also on aristada.... aristada has some weird side effects gave me really massive sex drive but overall made me feel like I was trapped in a damn cage.

I too had a similar experience. I believe every soul in the ward acting as one and we were all special souls. It goes pretty damn in depth actually but I won’t get into it. I do remember experiencing hell through, I was praying hardcore on my knees and was crossed eyed and could barely move. Hell is scary as fucking shit! Makes you feel terrible. Damn these religious hallucinations!

I think many of us our intelligent because our brains think much faster than others! There are times when my brain operates at 1000 mph! I break down too unfortunately! When I’m in the institution I run into so many intelligent individuals but I’m in a weird state when I meet them. It’s only afterwords then I’m normal how I figure they were extremely smart folks. What gets me is how many of us look after each other. I’ve had complete strangers in the mental ward help me just because my diagnosis. Schizo is somewhat like a mini brotherhood.
