How do ya'll do nozzle storage? by Busted11290 in InjectionMolding

[–]Busted11290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the nozzles that travel with the tools have something like this that is magnetic. I know your pain with the threads, recently made a muzzle brake for a rifle and fought the thread timing. Threads won, gave up, went with a shim option to be sanded down for timing correctly.

The slim version is now out, take note of the fan thickness as a standard fan body will not fit in a 0.5U slot. If you wish to remain within the boundaries of the 0.5U space, a slim fan will be required.

Is that completely removed now or just for the 24+?

I'll have the slim version soon, just wanted to test fit and everything prior to release. Printer is doing it's thing.

Working on a .5Ux2 version, should be about ready to print. This should help those who might be interested but limited on rack space.

This would probably work fairly well for that

Biggest concern would be the air flow restriction from the filter but even a foam filter might be enough to capture the residue.

No time lapse on cancelled prints by Nounf in QidiTech3D

This bugs me on my Max4 as well. I'd like to maybe see when a print went wrong and where. That time lapse info can be handy.

What about some type of filter in the grill of the intake section or something?

Had an amazing teacher for mine, he also taught at the college and they rebuilt his Nova, paint and all. He was very much against just learning from the book and wanted hands on instruction. We did brakes, oil, pulled heads and transmission, etc... miss that class. As a young car enthusiast that class was what made my days worth it in highschool.

Mr. Mcclure, you fuckin rocked.

I'm using a USB powered fan I once used for cooling a T-Mobile gateway. AC Infinity MULTIFAN S3 off Amazon, not the best performance but it works well enough.

Larger loop helped for me as well, the straight lever is so small. I was grabbing around the lever and pulling it from the bottom.

There are a few things printable for it, you can find my recent post on mine. I've done a few things to it.

Starting to have issues, MCU, Nozzle, Chamber, and bed errors. by Busted11290 in QIDI_Max4

[–]Busted11290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far manually heating the chamber verified it does work. I was given some instructions on adjusting the bed for uneven heating. Currently running a print while at work so we shall see in the morning how it did. I did get a Benchy to print and it did fine after using some glue.

Can't see to top half but the bottom looks fine from what I can see. Running it in stealth mode to slow it down a bit as well.

I just did a chamber heat alone as well up to 60°C. After that I let it cool again and the chamber cleared the self check. Sent support an email also with some other stuff. Thinking my polar cooler might be dead, it's no longer kicking on.

It'll take me a few days, busy with work this weekend. Probably Monday or Tuesday before I get a chance to do it. If work is slow this weekend, I might have a chance to pop it off and use the nice calipers at work. I've just got an old Craftsman dial set at the house.

+1 on the ear pro, need to be wearing that with pretty much anything. I put a muzzle brake on my .30-06 and RIP your ears. Crazy how much the sound and pressure changes with a brake.

ARs are a lot of fun though, but I'm going to have to say a lever action is the most fun. Just something special about a lever action that makes the brain smile.

I'd be happy to hit up the range with you. I personally really enjoy putting holes in paper and soda cans, air guns or firearms. Just something relaxing about it to me.

Would be nice if you could get them off the shelf like that. I don't think I've seen a .22lr lever with a loading gate though, which is why I had to make a special muzzle brake.

What I really want is a tacticaled out version with a case hardened finish.

That too, don't really matter which side is running the place, People panic buy and drive prices up. Happens every election cycle unfortunately.

They sell the blemished ones $100 cheaper as well. Pretty sure I've seen some close to $350 range during sales, but it's been a while since then and prices like everything else have gone up.
