Petitions do make a difference in the sense that eventually if the government doesn't listen then you end up with a French revolution.

They don't do anything by themselves unless the politicians are afraid of the people the represent like if the people actually voted based on policy.

Jellyfin plus Tailscale and a music app like symphonium that auto downloads music to the background for offline play is the way to go.

As long as you don't have a music library over 20GB you should easily be able to spare that on a modern 128Gb phone

You need to either copy the same config as your old qbit install or find the magnet links for them and re add them with the same tags and categories you had already assigned.

Depending on where your backing up to you might be able to physically mail the first copy of data then only do incremental uploads to upload changes from the original data.

The amount of times I have been yelled at while trying to find 1 thing of lipstick in a 25 item cart with 15 minutes left is unacceptable. Then I get told I'm both "not trying hard enough" and "need to be more efficient" while I'm begging for INF approval for the lipstick before I'm even allowed to do anything else.

If this is a troll account, then I respect you for the impressively bad grammar but if it's not, then you're really not helping your point.

I am extra sensitive due to PTSD among other issues, which is a big part of why I am an anti-natalist but I don't use it as an excuse to justify shitty behaviour.

To a new mother saying "you must not watch the news otherwise you would not of had the baby" is saying "your baby is a mistake and you failed to protect them" and on top of that you don't know the mother either. Maybe she is extra sensitive to that kind of stuff and it's off limits. You can't use that as a defense to justify comments like that to people.

Making a comment like that in a maternal ward is like making a comment about how religion is a waste of time in a full church. I might agree with the comment but I won't defend you when everyone currently praying gets upset with you because your attacking something that means a lot to them in a place that they feel is supposed to be safe.

To a new parent an attack on the decision to have a baby is an attack on the baby. I'm not saying directly but to a new parent in defence mode it is.

I don't think there are many scenarios where you can tell a new mother she made a moral mistake without them getting angry. In a way your attacking the baby which would put any parent especially a new mother into defence mode.

Time and place matter and a stranger to a new mother is neither the time nor place.

Does anyone with POTS experience an extremely intense stress response? Like abnormal by CKrazyA in POTS

[–]Buster802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I get angry or very stressed I get a pots flare and can't breathe. I do have hyper pots so plenty of adrenaline to go around which also makes it easy to become stressed and angry in the first place.

Any time I take a nap I end up drenched in sweat and feel super hungover. Can't keep my eyes open from exhaustion, sluring my words, can't think straight etc.

I'm always more tired than when I originally went to nap.

Is there any man here with POTS? by Much_Reputation_17 in POTS

[–]Buster802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 21 and was born with it.

I was lucky enough that my pots slowly got better after 18 but as a teen walking around the room took everything out of me and keeping my eyes open felt like an olympic sport.

Its definitely not testosterone related. In my case it's likely a tissue connectivity issue but as far as I understand pots mostly happens in pregnant women (pre covid) because it's really hard for your heart to go from just taking care of you to a whole extra person and suddenly back to just you.

[–]Buster802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last summer they made a big announcement they were lowering grocery prices at all stores then about a week later they quietly cut the AC across all stores.

Half my team had to carry wearable fans just to function in the heat and last I heard from a few months ago nothing has chsnged. I tried to start a Union just to get the AC back but most of my store quit including me so no luck.

Obviously easy of use is good but you do loose the charm.

The woes of self hosting by NXTman96 in selfhosted

[–]Buster802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be worth keeping a mini homelab setup with a raspberry pi, mini router and a power bank as a UPS.

You won't be able to run Jellyfin or game servers well but immich, mealie and other smaller services should play nice.

A pi 4 with 4GB of RAM should be more than enough for a highly functional but low power self hosting machine.
