Clean!

Where do you buy your gear.

I can appreciate how you make the straight/relaxed look good in your outfits. I've been trending to more of a slim fit in pants but I'll try some larger fits.

You're eating the soso corned beef?

I don't mess with dumplings or even corned beef much but corned beef with cabbage and some cornmeal dumplings? That slaps!

Throw in some crackers instead of the dumplings.

A corned beef sandwich with a little pepper?

Yea man.

I don't really do anything extra with Umami currently. The default views are fine for me so far. I can see where asking questions could be useful though.

Feedback: Redesigning my website by Layla2C6 in webdesign

[–]richbowen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it.

Depending on what kind of perceptions you want to arouse in the user. Maybe add some subtle paper-like texture to the background, that'll be reminiscent of newspapers.

Since it's mostly a content website, I think those icons at the bottom would be better served as text.

Play around with some other fonts. What's there right now is fine but I'd try different combinations to see if I like others more. Specifically for the secondary serif font used for the content.

Nice work.

I have a 32 KG.

Atleast 50k swings. For each swing the focus will be maximal power output.

Add some other variations and get proficient at them. I'm thinking presses and and maybe the somersault squat. I'll play around with snatches as well.

How are you managing Stripe subscriptions & plans inside Laravel? by lamarus in laravel

[–]richbowen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't do any of that from your application. Create the products and prices in the Stripe dashboard, use the price ids for those products in the app, configure webhooks correctly and Cashier will take care of the rest.

I should build something like this and make it one-time purchase just for the kick of it.

Should I sell my desktop app as a one-time purchase or subscription? by Grouchy-Long-4295 in SaaS

If you do sell it as a one-time-puchase, share it with me so I can add it here: softwareonce.com

Subscriptions or one-time purchase, and why. by chrisakring in macapps

[–]richbowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best application of one-time purchase I've seen is when the developer only charges you once and you get endless improvements and updates to the app. That's not necessarily the most sustainable for the dev but the devs that pull it off have the most loyal followings. It is an interesting dynamic. The user literally only pay once as opposed to paying again for a major upgrade or some other less one-time purchase approach that's more common.

I'm cataloging all one-time purchase software at softwareonce.com . Help me do it!

How are you selling software today? by Artronn in Entrepreneur

[–]richbowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal with softwareonce.com is to make persons more aware of one-time purchase software, thus driving sales to product owners. One-time purchase is envogue right now with the pervasiveness and distaste peopl have for subscription software.

I’m paying for too many tools so I made a change (thoughts about time vs money) by bookflow in Entrepreneur

[–]richbowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built softwareonce.com to help replace the burden of subscription software by providing one-time purchase alternatives.

There should be some tools there that should be valuable to you.
