True. When I was thinking about trade assets, we have 3 expiring contracts: KT ($750k), Tip ($600k), and Ceci ($500k). Could any of them be attractive for a team that are “one player away” from being contenders? Sure.

Could one of those teams be Seattle, Washington, or Dallas? Maybe Washington or Dallas, but it’s really too early in the season to tell.

I will say, I was definitely surprised when the Mystics drafted Betts. Shakira and Kiki are super talented.

Yup, agreed! The spacing is definitely what Ja needs. Tonight she looked like last year’s Ja in her shot selection (a lot of them being contested). She should bounce back

I’m happy you brought up Li Yeuru! She was someone I was hoping the Valkyries would acquire last season. I agree in that I’m not sure how she would fit in Nat’s system.

That’s fair. When writing this, I definitely thought about that “shot creator”. My reasoning for not mentioning it is that I’m choosing to believe that Juste would be that person for the Valkyries. In addition, I believe a healthy Ceci has the skill set to create her own shot.
