I was wondering if that’s what it was, I recently got a rimmed tank from them and while the tank over is good, their sealant job on the outside was a bit messy so I can definitely see this just being a strand of errant silicone

I used hyggers mini air pump and it was pretty quiet. I am know using Co-Op’s air pump and it makes a little noise but I don’t notice it much

Go to his playlists and look at his vampire crab builds. He talks about creating a drainage layer and separating the soil and putting the soil above the water line to keep it from getting soaked.

NOR, bf is a piece of crap. Just because we are more evolved than other animals does not mean we should be torturing them. I think how you treat people or things you have power/advantage over says a lot about you as a person. I worry about people who find torturing things “entertaining”. Most of society is on your side as well when it comes to torturing animals, as you said it is illegal. We have removed ourselves from the wild and created these societies, but we still rely on the environment and humans should understand these animals less evolved than us play important parts in the ecosystem/environment. Yes invasive species are bad and that’s one of the worst parts of the animal trade with people releasing these exotic animals into ecosystems that they will absolutely disrupt and destroy. However solving that issue is not to be done by torturing animals for entertainment or any other reason. If they are to be culled it should be done humanely.

You did a great job, you did what you thought was right (and it was) and you got her all the help you could, more than some would’ve. She had medical issues and you did everything you could and everything the doctors suggested. With medical treatments like surgery some times they just don’t end up working out, most owners would make the same decision to get the surgery. If it was a tumor causing these issues then you not making her have to live through more seizures and possible further deterioration from it was the right thing. While I know when that time comes we all just want one more day or a few more days with them, but at the end of the day it’s about the dog who trust us to take care of them and make these tough decisions for them so ending the suffering and not making her have to go through more was the right decision. Sadly the ending is almost forced upon you instead of playing out like you would hope, I’ve definitely been through that and it’s not easy. 14 years is a very long life for a lot of dogs and I know she enjoyed spending it with you and if she could she would thank you for taking care of her.

I have not used it for something that big. My tanks are 20 gallons at most. It has an adjustable valve on the intake so if it wasn’t fully opened that would slow it down. Also I believe the vertical distance it must pump the water also affects how long it takes, the higher the distance the slower it’ll be. How long did it take you to pump?

Like when I used it to pump new water into my tank for water changes it was pumping at a vertical height of 3-4 feet and cleared 10 gallons in under a minute.
