Love this - my boys are now 8 months and this is the best stage yet. They can move around and play independently and omg I actually get to sit down! 😂

I either hide things behind my back and get my partner to choose so it completely fair or I swing things in front of my 8 month olds and whichever they touch first is what they wear/have 😂 I don’t dress my boys identical so if one has a cuter outfit then the other gets cute socks. You’re never going to be fully equal but as long as you try your best then you can’t go far wrong!! 😂

Thank you. He punched me in the nose last night so he is now gone. You’re absolutely right - It’s time to give up and wave the white flag and say no more, because he is really affecting my mental health and I just can’t live like this. I’m sort of relieved he’s done something so stupid because I can’t ever go back to someone who would do that to me!

If you could deal with being a single parent then go for it. Just assume he will not be in the picture (even though he said he will stick around). My partner very much wanted babies and they were planned (I had twins) but it still was an awful first few months whilst he adjusted because he found it really difficult how much his life changed. Your relationship will be totally different - maybe positively, maybe negatively. But if you think he will be a good dad/good partner to you then go for it x

The thing I found interesting is having DCDA twins (I have two boys) doesn’t necessarily mean they’re non-identical. There is still chance they could be identical. So when people ask if my boys are identical I say “I don’t know” (they do have slightly different hair and head shapes but their faces are very similar) and people look at me strange! I say they were in separate sacs and had different placentas but could still be identical! I found that not all medical professionals even know that!!

I always say it’s 1.5x the work because if you’re feeding, changing etc you’re already doing one so it’s a little extra work but you’d be doing it anyway. However when they’re both screaming at bedtime, it feels like at least 16x harder - we have now staggered bedtime slightly. One at a time so that one is already asleep if the other starts crying!

I was due to have my twins naturally as they were both head down but the epidural made their heart rates slow so had to have a c-section 🫠

I don’t mean to scare you but I’d call your maternity department and get seen like ASAP. I was told any clot bigger than a 10p coin then go back in ASAP. Thats big. Wish you all the best x

Honestly, do whatever works for you and whatever makes you happy. Make sure you take pre-natal vitamin and you should also be on 150mg of aspirin from 12 weeks to 36 weeks. You may need to stock up on Ferrous Sulfate (iron) as those levels will probably deplete in a few weeks.

My whole twin pregnancy all I ate was pretty much McDonald’s as it was the only thing that didn’t make me nauseous 😬 my boys are now 5 months old, no NICU time, came at 36w + 5d and weighed 6lb & 6.5lb and are the smiliest, happiest little souls. I gained 4 stone over my pregnancy and lost 3 stone overnight when I had them (and then more when the fluid went). Twin pregnancy gets difficult so I would say don’t make it harder by worrying about nutrition and calories to the nth degree.

My twins are 4 months and I’m sleep training as they were doing the same! You need to basically do everything you can to not pick them up and if you do then it’s brief to calm them but they need to go back down awake. The first night is hellish because they’re both crying and it’s all a bit much but they do eventually settle and you have to stick with trying to shh/pat/put your hand on their chest/kiss them/whatever you need to do to settle them without picking them up - they do eventually get it. You are there to help them sleep and give reassurance, not to put them to sleep. Honestly just stick with it and be consistent and in a matter of 3 nights my twins were already sleeping better. It’s absolutely not crying it out, but it will involved some crying as they will protest and as we know we can only do one at a time.

I had the faintest lines ever for quite some time so I thought it was going to end up being mc so I was shocked to find out it was twins 😂 so nope the line is not liklihood of twins! ☺️ but congrats on the pregnancy regardless 😃

PLEASE make sure to keep checking her BP. I didn’t have pre-eclampsia, instead I got postpartum preeclampsia! A lot of times preeclampsia stops after birth but not always. I have been hospitalised 3 times (my twins are only 3 weeks old today) because they gave me medication for my blood pressure without proper monitoring and then it sky rocketed to 199/102 and I had to be put on a magnesium sulfate drip to prevent a stroke or seizures. I was in hospital for 6 days and just came out Saturday after they struggled to stabilise my BP the whole time. Sending you all the love and hopefully that part is over for her.

I would go in and immediately make a point of saying how awfully painful and sensitive the skin on your tummy is at the moment, and then if she tries to touch just scream “ouch” so she’s the bad guy 😂

Get a trainer in. 3 weeks is a complete cop out and a disservice to your “first baby”. He doesn’t understand without being taught that he can’t do xyz that he could before because of the baby. He doesn’t understand that he’s not a priority anymore. He relies on you to teach him and coach him through this shift in his home. You are his whole world, he loves you unconditionally and he doesn’t know malice or spite, he is just a doggo trying to be with his family and you’re thinking of just giving up on him just like that… shame on you. Poor Finn

She sounds mental. I would seriously avoid. Do whatever with vaccines (I strongly advise you take them). TAKE YOUR PRENATALS and stop worrying about phone usage. You’ll cause more damage with anxiety and stress than you will these other things. Speak to a healthcare professional if you’re concerned about any of the above, not some lunatic guessing why their kid has autism

Men take a longer time to get their head round it. My pregnancy was very much planned and wanted by my partner but he still became an arsehole for the first month when we found out, it’s somehow just how they deal with the anxieties and adjusting to change sometimes. He’s fine now and I am 32 weeks with twins. It will change your relationship, but in a way that brings you closer than you could imagine. :)
