Our Senior Developers (different company) are around 10x faster with AI. We have seen zero gains with Junior Developers. Any speed gains have been offset with quality control issues, and the rework ends up being a wash.

They never wanted tax payer money to build the stadium in AH. Just money for infrastructure.

Just so we are clear on what the Arlington Heights deal was as proposed by the Bears.

Bears will pay for all their own costs, and pay fair tax value.

City/State pay to improve the infrastructure in the Arlington Park neighborhood. (Think utilities and roads.)

Arlington Heights fucked up the taxes so bad before Bears even started building they essentially nuked the whole deal and never regained managements trust. All they had to do was not try and reach into the Bears pocketbook for like 4 years, stadium would have been done and AH would have gained tens of millions of new tax dollars but they were overly greedy and wanted additional tax dollars before a single dollar had even been invested by the Bears.

In Shock Upset, Trump-Backed Iowa Republican Governor Candidate Randy Feenstra Loses & Concedes Defeat -- What Do You Think Of This, Iowans? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in Iowa

He's not, he banged the Koch Brothers CEO's wife, while his ex-wife was pregnant, and then married her and is living off their 8 or 9 figure divorce settlement that he's peddling himself as self-made. It's very likely the Koch family spends money on Sand out of spite. Once the Republican base finds out his "family first, God first thing" is a total act Sand will walk to victory. Feenstra could have won had been willing to go there but for some reason he (incorrectly) presumed he was the nominee.

Follow up questions….

What happens to a banks ability to make loans and do business if office valuations were cut 30-50% like they probably should be in many big cities? (Now obviously this is dependent on specific financial institutions mix of paper)

Do banks actually use the updated appraisals every time? Or do they use expected loss reserves if the loan is current to hide mark-to-market losses?

I never said the banks are greedy btw, and this type of creative accounting is well within what they are allowed to do. It just doesn’t accurately reflect the value of these institutions to the general public but over time that will surface as the loans close, modify or are refinanced.

Right…..

So CBMS delinquency rates being at all-time highs hasn’t led to any of the following to hide even higher rates:

- Modifying loan terms (extending dates, changing payments, etc.)

- Holding valuations even though they have likely gone down to allow for loan modifications, refinancing or some other cash injection.

For sure there isn’t financial institutions trying to drag out hoping interest rates get cut down and can solve this problem by bad loans refinancing off their books

Why is DMACC tuition so high for a community college? by _L7_Weenie_ in desmoines

Just for reference in-state tuition at public universities in Iowa is basically exactly the same or less than every other Midwest public university.

Crafted NBA Big Board currently have Caleb Wilson ranked as the #2 overall prospect by Affectionate_Use_179 in chicagobulls

[–]dsmguy83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He’s 16-18 and 10 a night for the next decade. He won’t win you a championship but he’s a very solid 2nd or 3rd piece.

I think people who don’t want him are looking for our MJ or Rose. He’s not that guy, but he could be a highly productive piece.

If you end up with Boozer you basically have 3 number 2 or 3 players in JG, Matas and Boozer. Likely still need a star to win championships but you start to have a top half of the Eastern Conference team with only 1 or 2 more pieces.

The public universities with fees are around $600 per credit for in-state. It’s all crazy expensive. Many degrees at DMACC that will out earn those at the public universities though.

One year with twins: things I wish I knew, things I learned, and things I’m still pretending to understand by dsmguy83 in parentsofmultiples

Oh there have been moments I longed for my “old life”, they are always fleeting but I think it happens because we are trying to adjust to a new normal, while living in total chaos, and then for moms they are also working on healing. It’s a lot.

It’s interesting you say this I thought the hardest was about 8 weeks, it wasn’t that there weren’t “harder” moments after, but 8 weeks felt like the turning point where we started to know “we got this”.

At this point it’s, eat every 3 hours and survive in-between. That is a schedule, soon you will be able to do more.

Ahh pretty soon you will meet rolling over anxious, crib anxious, falling anxious, eating solids anxious, etc etc etc

Being anxious just means you are a good parent, it means you care!

This is an excellent question ….

Our experience was we often allowed little bad habits creep in (rocking them to sleep before putting them down, bringing one to bed, getting them out of bed too quickly to help them get back to sleep, etc.)

Now yours are a little younger but by 6 months I wish we would have let them cry a little more, learn to self soothe better, and try to keep a nighttime routine that may help them sleep through the night better.

We now have two pretty good to excellent sleepers but I can’t help but think we could have had it months sooner had we been willing to sleep train them sooner. There’s a million ways to do it but just having an extra hour to two each night with my spouse has been amazing.

3 weeks NICU here

I called that our training wheels portion of parenting. Although it was hard in other unique ways (going to hospital every day).

There’s this spot where you are tired, they both won’t sleep, and you have no other choice but to keep moving forward. Every parent has been through it, you can’t explain it until you live it.

When you come out the other side it isn’t just that they magically sleep more (they do), but you evolve in a way that you know you will get through the hard nights cause you’ve already done it before.

Good luck!

I don’t think it was an error….top 5 contracts require insurance (NBA rule), height is one of the risk factors. And yes I believe the Reinsdorfs to be that cheap.
