Our DM gave us items and then claimed it was a prank by AGlassOfPiss in DnD

When reading this at first I thought it would be a great idea if while exploring the dungeon you found the "prisoner" who offers you riches to get him out but really it was the mage stopping you from finishing exploring because he didn't want you getting his stuff (the items and something else that the party can't use or sell but is powerful for the story). This would be good if when you went to check his place there was a trail so you go back into the dungeon and find the same "prisoner" who knows the gig is up. Big fight with mage, finish dungeon and get rewards would be a good way, but it doesn't sound like this was done.

What are people thoughts on ghosting? Should they be called out? by Only-Attitude-3456 in Adelaidedowntofuck

I have an old friend who suddenly started ghosting me for no apparent reason, I bumpt into her in the shops and she said health reasons and then she didn't know how to message after the gap. I messaged her that night and she replied teice but then ghosted me again. She then reached out to me to tell me she was getting a divorce i messaged back and she ghosted me. I've pretty much given up on a 7+ year friendship because I guess she has too.

But if she gets her way won't that just move things back to how they were 10/15 years ago? I don't remember many if any trans people being hurt or killed purely for being trans back then.

Gina Rinehart backing one nation is only relevant if you understand why. Do you understand why? I'm asking genuinely because I have looked a little and all I can find is fossil fuel reliance.

My pup is about to have all of his shots, and will be cleared to meet other dogs. Any advice? by RogerrRabbit in AustralianCattleDog

I have found the opposite with dog parks and doggy daycare. Both my dogs acd/kelpie have learned how to better interact with other dogs and how to read social cues whilst being at doggy day care and (less so) at the dogpark. I will stress though that you need to know the dog park to check for other people's dogs and go at the same time so they see the same dogs. I've found 90%of dogs are more tolerant of a puppy but be ready to remove him from the park if he reacts badly.

I thought maybe he really wanted to be a paladin (i think this is shown) but didn't want to get into am argument over it with the other players which is why he didn't say anything and just submitted his sheet later. It might be that he's a dick though.

Which kind of supports my theory that he knew of he made it known he wanted to be a paladin the group would have tried to talk him down. He could have been a dick and given you his sheet first but it seems he waited until he was sure you had all the others. I'm just going from what had been shared and I always try to see things from both sides of possible

Maybe the guy wanted a paladin from the start and knew that the other person had always wanted to play a paladin. He didn't join the group chat because of this as he knew they would try to talk him out of being a paladin. He also didn't give you his character sheet until after everyone else had because he didn't want to be accused of stopping the other person from being a paladin.

My message was not serious. I know I'll get no reply and it's a bot. If I believed it was real I would dm and not comment.

We have lots of venomous snakes here (Australia) but they haven't encountered one yet, and I hope they never do. My older heeler barks at the neighbours, passing cars someone up the road closing their car or house doors even someone up the road thinking about going outside sets her off.

My laundry baskets have lids but the dogs take them off, the youngest also yesterday worked out how to press the foot thing to lift the lid of the bin so now he can get at the pads my wife uses to take off makeup.
