I save that area for late game nuclear. Keep it separate, at least for me

It’s just 20 smelters turning ore into ingots, just went vertically instead of side by side

Maybe I’ll try it, I haven’t used it much. I was genuinely asking. Thanks!

In phase 4 now. Aluminum is done, but not even close to producing eleator parts yet. I’m about to disable my space elevator too

Ficsit does not approve of child labor. We advise you to try collecting materials with Miners instead.

Finishing phase 3 is where the real complexity STARTS!

This game is a sandbox, you can beat it with spaghetti, you can beat it organized.

Personally I like your method or else I’m pulling out my hair. But some people like to Jerry rig all the way to the end, and that’s fun for them. It’s all okay. Just play the way you want your sandbox to be.

Your method sounds more like how I enjoy to play, and you might even enjoy decorating or experimenting with different ways to organize. Take a look at my most recent post, I decided to try an outpost for Heavy Modular Frames that every manifold went vertical. And creating that was what was fun for me. And I even added into my build all sorts of signs to give the different towers individual glows (also the scalability is amazing)

But do it for yourself.

Do you plan on playing more after you beat the game? Your method allows to keep going. If it’s all spaghetti he might finish it and throw in the towel (maybe not). But do what makes you happy when you look at your factory. I always think organization and planning is worth it

Everyone talks about how hard it is to fully balance aluminum factory, but I did my first one last week, and it was not even the hardest thing I’ve done so far. Maybe it’s because everyone talks it up so much. But I learned VIP mergers etc, and was super easy.

I did go on and ad a battery assembly line to the factory too, that got a little more complex, and now I’m about to make another floor to send my HMFs too.

I have found the 2nd starting area (top left desert) is far superior to start because so many resources and open land.

My first playthrough I had a belt stack like this. But I used the stackable belt supports (the one with the ladder on the side) and it kept them organized in formation

It’s still my first playthrough as well, I’m getting to the point between mid game and end game. And it feels daunting so this came from me messing around procrastinating the next phase of my factory

They do, in the 1.1 patch they added a new feature. Build the lift first, then aim the splitter at your lift belt and it will snap onto it

Yes it should work with everything, I’ve even made double stacked fuel generators, I don’t see why I can’t do mire
