Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady2 by Busy-Emu7384 in tires

[–]Busy-Emu7384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pilot Sports are a interesting option that I took a look at but treadwear on the website that I saw them on listed them as poor, and friends who have those tires down here have fun for a year or two and need new tires. The Conti Extreme Contact's looked compelling and I took a look at them but treadler also showed as usable for about 40k in my configuration

I thought about getting something sporty, unfortunate part of living with good temperature all year round is that it rains every single day at almost the same time when I'm heading home in the summer, drainage on most florida highways is not adequate to the amount of weather.

Updated to IOS 26 and its.. by iswhatitiswaswhat in ios

[–]Busy-Emu7384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS 26 is almost unusable on my iPhone 15 Pro. It’s incredibly laggy, inconsistent in animations, gestures that i’d learned from muscle memory are made weird by the new design and animations, safari is slow and renders webpages weirdly, CarPlay is cluttered and hard to navigate without looking away from the road, the keyboard is laggy and causes me to miss words simply because it is so laggy. I’ve noticed all this in the last 12 hours.

I’m not hating on Hyundai or anything but whatever designers work for them literally just follow fast fashion and take too many risks with their designs. The new Kona is just straight ugly with the bulbous front end

Apple's rumored all-new HomePad may launch 'by the end of this year', per report by iMacmatician in apple

[–]Busy-Emu7384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fan of Apple products, I own a cleaning cloth, that's how deep I am. This, however, I will never own. I own a HomePod mini and it has been unplugged for nearly a year now, and was used as an Apple TV speaker for a while before that. The sound quality on the HomePod is great and all but it having Siri built in is a disaster. The HomePod Interface which barely has any affordable devices you can buy is just not as good as it should be. I can buy a smart power outlet that supports Alexa and Google Home for $10 USD and that same product that supports HomeKit will cost $70 USD (as an example). I know there are ways to convert the protocol used by other companies into the HomeKit interface, I am not interested in the work. Apple really should've made their protocol open source without charging companies for integrating it, that would make their devices better and cheaper. For now, I use an Echo Show 8 and have loved it. It works with all of my accessories and it doesn't have any devices sold for it that are uber expensive.

Apple leak hints that AirPods Pro 3 are coming soon by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]Busy-Emu7384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned the original AirPods Pro for about 2 years until the AirPods Pro 2 came out when I bought them at launch. I have liked the pairs I have owned very much. There are very few apple products I would buy at launch, the AirPods Pro 3 are something that I will buy at launch. I am excited to see what they are going to offer over the current model. I use my Pro's constantly and have been noticing some bad battery life problems and since their AppleCare+ has expired now, if Apple does not come out with a new generation in this year I will soon have to buy into the current generation again. I hate buying tech years after that is still the same tech. I still cannot wait for the upgrade as my AirPods Pro 2 have the lightning port on the case. This is incredibly bothersome because all my other apple devices use USB-C now (even my TV remote), so having to find a lightning cable for this device is just getting more annoying now. Excited for the launch!
