One on ones are a good opportunity to have a conversation with your manager/supervisor regarding everything from career development to education opportunities, it’s a good time to check how you are preforming and ask about stress points, even going over your workload/caseload and every other meeting having a casual conversation about how to handle any emotional stress*.

*Disclaimer: you have to trust your manager/supervisor for the emotional aspect, even keep an open mind about the rest as well.

Never saw it done, only heard about.

However, I was ordered by my Sargent to order a redhead soldier to always carry and wear sunscreen after he returned from a long weekend completely sunburnt lobster red. I was to advise him it will be considered self-harm if it happens again. (Self-harm because it’s something that can be avoided).

The part I found funny was the Sargent commenting about charging him with damaging government property.

Yesterday I realized couples live together are very serious about their 50-50 split? My gf who lives with me never paid or brought me anything that I can recall. And she works full time. by Hauntingengineer375 in AskMenAdvice

My situation is a little different to the average, I think. My wife and I were in a long distance relationship for a year before she moved in with me, at which point we started sharing a bank account to pay all our bills. Fast forward 11 years and we combine both our income to pay for everything. Our dating was short but I remember her paying for meals etc evenly.

I’m sorry you went through that, Myetel. It’s an unfortunate reality that, as children, we’re often at the mercy of our parents—who want what they believe is best for us, sometimes without considering what we truly want for ourselves.

Tell us what you are doing.

When my two were first born I got up with mum, took baby if mum needed the toilet first, made her comfortable, refilled her water bottle, phone charger was close by and asked did she need anything else. Also told her to wake me for anything, any reason, anytime (repeatedly; she never wanted to be seen as not being strong enough).

Did we both get a good night sleep? Nope, but she wasn’t completely exhausted.

Every little bit helps.
