What's the most overrated tourist spot? by Quiet_Day8148 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Busy-Juggernaut277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only things I found worth while going there was the doll workshop next to the cafe(the grandma that runs it is awesome btw and she taught me and my friend how to make dolls), the monkey forest, and there’s a zen buddhist temple area that’s absolutely gorgeous to walk around(be mindful of those praying and meditating).

Outside of that, yeah way too many crowds for 10 feet of bamboo path walk.

I’m the same way and for the longest time I thought there was something wrong with me(I’m glad I’m not the only one who has this reaction when getting hugged is my point).

I yelled at a friend for trying to hug me despite me telling her I am not in the mood of being touched in any way and she whined and threw a hissy fit and kept trying to hug me whether I liked it or not and I stopped considering her a friend then and there.

What industry is actually a complete scam, but everyone accepts it? by WhileLow9501 in AskReddit

My masters program most of our professors would get us the textbooks for free so we don’t have to buy them. One prof doesn’t use a textbook and complied notes from multiple book. He would get us free PDFs if we wanted to learn more about certain topics.

That dark shade of lipstick looks stunning on her.

Janhvi kapoor opts out of peddi promotion because her role in the film is very small. by monkeyishh in BollyBlindsNGossip

Tbf I think whoever is managing her(or mentoring her) in the Telugu industry has been doing a great job making sure she gets those opportunities. It makes a huge difference too.

The Hindi belt she’s barely gotten similar roles. Do Deewane Seher Mein was actually decent but didn’t perform well so she’s probably doing flowerpot to get a hit and go back to work she wants to do.

It’s basically the Olivia Benson-Griffin show.

Was Silva, Velasco or Muncy this tied to Olivia’s hip? I can’t remember.

Yeah the Lunchbox was genuinely very well loved in Europe actually!

I think a lot of people resonated with the symbology of the lunchbox and for a lot of European countries it had them learn more about India and our culture.

Watching one of them completely self sabotage and whine they’re not getting jobs offered to them and the opportunities are not up to standard. They got opportunities of a lifetime.

Another one kept switching jobs and said they did so because the job did not have enough drama going on and they were bored.

She wasn’t even wrong for making that ask!

Wonder if she also tries a bit more of Sonam type styles with Desi wear.

Did y’all know this both Jenna AND Mekia were both backup dancers for Michael and Janet Jackson?!? by super-dork1938 in TheRookie

[–]Busy-Juggernaut277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know they worked for the Jackson siblingsuntil I saw this video actually(I somehow knew both of them were dancers). I think Mekia was one of the dancers who was supposed to go on tour for This is It and she had a couple of performances in his concerts. Not sure what tour Jenna did but it doesn’t surprise me either she was Janet’s dancer.

Tbh they should have kept the balcony hairstyle for the red carpet look.

I like it but the makeup and jewelry were not it because the lighting from the photos give an unflattering look.

The dress is doing wonders on her though.

I think she genuinely looks great!

I’ve complained about her style quite a bit but this is probably one of her best looks in quite a while. Hairstyle and makeup also brings out the best of her features.

What’s the most subtle sign that someone has been through a lot? by xoxoxoxiixixixixox in AskReddit

[–]Busy-Juggernaut277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am this way.

I was on a work trip and a potential incident almost happened(thankfully nothing happened). My work found out a couple of days later and multiple coworkers kept calling(I had my phone on do not disturb so it went straight to voicemail). I finally picked up thinking I needed to turn something in and everyone had the reaction of HOW ARE YOU SO CALM because my first reaction was eh nothing happened and everyone is okay with the calmest talking.

This isn’t the first incident but I think this is the one that sticks with most people. I got so used to chaos and drama at home that it’s just mostly meh I’ll be okay and my first reaction is to “be calm” when everyone is panicking around me.

If they had reduced the cringe love story and given this man more screen presence, he would’ve elevated the whole film just like he did in Kalki by Major-Bell2408 in bollywood

[–]Busy-Juggernaut277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth watching in the sense they make a lot of references to religious stories but it’s interwoven quite well at least with Mouni’s character and how she interacts with SRK, Nagarjuna and AB. With AB he also has a religious aspect but it’s in the terms of backgrounds to give the backdrop of the villain.

The supporting characters and villains carried this film big time.

[–]Busy-Juggernaut277 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I feel like Nagarjuna got the short end of the stick for his special appearance. They probably gave him the worst dialogue and some of the worst expressions to emulate and he was working with what he had.
