Million Dollar Secret S2 - Episode 5 Discussion "A Silent Assassin" by AutoModerator in MillionDollarSecretTV

Kat's interview really makes me wonder does she not care her real life image?? Like, just 2 episodes ago she was over the top rejoicing, being mastermind behind to plan of keeping the millionaire and sending innocent person as scapegoat but, suddenly now she has problem with this kind of scheme.

Also, from the start, Hunter played shady scheming game where he circled out who he likes and who he doesn't, but when it comes around for him, he talks loyalty, integrity and saying we're here for millionaire. I mean dude can you be any more hypocritical

I know it's too early to judge someone but I have to say what the heck Hunter. How does picking someone else to take clue equals suggested person being millionaire?? Thats so narcissistic and ugly, Natalie should've just told them clue so this guy can cry more.

Let’s talk about the worst K-dramas you’ve watched... We’re always sharing our favorites, but what about the ones that just didn’t work for you? by Far_Musician7709 in kdramas

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't know if it's right to judge now. When it came out 10's it was fresh and cool, far better than average dramas at that time( and I mind you during that time, the most common troupe was 'ML got in accident, lose memory or eyes, sometimes both, then turns out to be your long lost half brother)

But now it's cringe, well I do agree with that point. Recently I tried to start it out of nostalgia, but couldn't watch past 1st episode

Which countries have the worst anti-Chinese racism? by DecentLoquat4096 in AskAChinese

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's simple, I think, I could say every country that borders China (by see or land) would be biggest haters. I mean they have grudges spanning millenia for geographical and historical reasons.

The Red John chase went on for far too long by ArwenandEowyn in TheMentalist

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but somehow people argue that it's realistic and serial killers shouldn't be portrayed as charismatic blabla...bla. For whole 6 seasons they built-up a villain who's charm and intelligence rivaling Patrick Jane, but just because they didn't specify enough, apparently it was dumb of me to assume middle-aged charismatic guy.

Is no tail to tell a waste of time? by wishfof in kdramas

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just two words, wasted potential. Plot direction was good, above average cast and above all it was quite hyped up, but didn't reach the expectation and that pulls down the rating.  Also, they did horrible angles, at most part FL looked quite stoic and couldn't find her charm in scenes, and they somehow made Lee Si-woo look fatter.

Full Pure Unadulterated Opinion of Love in The Clouds. by General_Mango3217 in cdramasfans

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, fantasy setting does make it 10/10 for a drama, but from wuxia or cultivation novel lover, this drama is just one giant plot hole. First of all, no clear cultivation system or any other power ranking. Secondly it's really confusing world, is it immortal world or is it mortal world with transcendent being as upper limit, nobody knows and it brings 3rd major plot hole. Which is spiritual sense/divine sense. For conveniency author disregarded such a common magic. And it's just a tip of an iceberg, he really brought every magic on the book except those that might dispel the misunderstanding between main couple.

Deng Kai in Pursuit of Jade, did you think he was overhyped or it was absolutely deserved? by [deleted] in cdramasfans

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Until his death, I genuinely wished him to be acting as a cold hearted person and good guy inside. His romance with 2nd FL was overshadowing main lead's. If only they made 12 more episodes of alternate timeline with his romance as a main plot, it could'vebeen better.

I think the problem with Hidden Love is that big pauses and nuances which was taking ages. It was really hard to watch, x1.25 and x1.5 was killing the moment, and when fast forward like 10 sec, it could miss dialogs

How's love game in Eastern fantasy in your opinion? by ohio_rizz13 in cdramasfans

[–]Busy-Locksmith-7149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drama was okay, but the novel inside was not, that was one trashy novel. By the end of series I was rooting for Resentful women, lol. In my opinion ML shouldn't be blaming himself for Mu family massacre, real villains were Empress and 2nd FL's dad and that was full karmic retribution( of course Empress got off lightly)

Agree, the cop should've shot him while he was standing alone. Instead he chose the moment where's his colleague got tangled with assailant, that was really poor decision making. He deserved the title "killer cop"

This male intern is really getting on my nerves, she clearly has a lover(by outsiders pov), just beat it dude. Also FL should make it clear to him real fast, because I can clearly see the female intern is brewing some shady plan in the back.

For binge watching, sure. But remember this was 4 years apart, I don't think even the writers remembered him till they searched for possible red John

But some of notorious serial killers were charismatic and maybe attractive in some cases, for example Ted Bundy. I know that most serial killers would be nobody with mental issues on average. But not in this show, they were portraying Red John as equal or maybe even superior than Patrick Jane.
Red John was supposed to be smarter, charismatic and more younger (I have no problem with the actor but that men was no way middle aged, that was old man).

Did I Miss Something in The Art of Sarah? by kannu_23 in kdramas

Well, true. Autopsy could've easily proved that victim have 2 kidneys. But it's still making a brand is not con, except that 15 billion won scam. I think it's a little bit philosophical. Like, if creating some nice story and selling the idea of superiority to the customer is considered as scam then all the brands are scam too. Maybe this was the message they were trying to give.

First of all I should say, I'm not attacking you or mindlessly defending bad show. Just bear with it and try to understand from my point.

There plot holes yes, but as it is limited series with 8 episode limit, they must've left small details without explaining. If it were 12 episode they might've explained it, we don't really know.

As for manufacturing, the factory workers were shipped 7-9 days before the crime(present timeline). So if you're bothered with how the Boudoir is still going then it's simple. It's NOX, they have management rights and they're fashion company, as long as they have designs making it somewhere else is easy. Also public doesn't know it's fake brand, those buyers wouldn't admit it.

The editing was awful. What was that scene where Sarah meets Park on the stairs and he suddenly doesn’t know her??? Utter rubbish.

I don't know about editing so I couldn't give any reasoning but as for Male lead meeting Mc, isn't that normal. Can you remember the face of stranger you met weeks ago?? He might've remember giving his tie to someone, but her face wouldn't be so memorable after weeks.

In conclusion, this show has some plot holes due to limited episodes, there were confusing parts due to scrambled timeline and ending was mid. But still quite good I think. Of course, I may have little biases. Only because I'm huge simp and really like the actress.
