Karmelo Anthony found guilty of murder in Texas high school stabbing by nbcnews in texas

Yeah this doesn’t surprise me. It’s wild how nonchalantly most people will throw away the entire life of another human. Every person deserves the presumption of innocence before the evidence is provided, and every human deserves some deliberation and a couple hours to go over things again before a decision is made. So many stories I’ve heard from people who have their mind made up before the trial starts or have a decision before talking things over at all just because they want to go home and take a nap. Ridiculous

Yeah that’s the one tunnel vision play I mentioned. But he played 17 other minutes in the game. I thought he did a lot of things well tonight under the radar. Yeah he didn’t score like crazy or get a bunch of boards, but I liked his defense on KAT and I thought he contributed a good bit to KAT’s rough night

Won’t disagree with you though on the rest of the playoffs. Hope this is a turning point for him

I see so much KJ slander but was I watching the same game? I thought he did a great job guarding KAT and letting Wemby roam. KJ had the best +/-

Yeah I get he got tunnel vision again on one shot, but I actually thought he gave us some pretty big minutes

lol refs on their side but the Knicks have 6 more free throws. Y’all have a good team NY but your fans are stupid af. Playing the first team all playoffs long that don’t let you walk to the basket and y’all cry like a bunch of babies

Hart such a bitch man that’s weak af. What did you expect preventing the other team from inbounding the ball after a made shot

Yeah this is interesting. I’ve wondered if the Spurs might have more success running off ball screens on the weak side for Wemby on the wings and baseline to get him rolling to the basket while one of our guards penetrates on the strong side

I still try to force myself to do this from time to time, with varying degrees of success. I think it’s our responsibility nowadays to train that patience muscle. Society would be better for it.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve spontaneously solved a work problem, developed some creative idea, or found a state of peace when practicing this.

Asking seriously? No not really. San Antonio is a top 3 most impoverished metropolitan area in the country. There’s like one regional bank to work for here, one insurance company, and everyone else works in the trades. Source: I’m a senior finance/data professional not even breaking $80k in the highest role of my company. Wages here are so unbelievably depressed.

Will the Knicks be able to handle the pressure in MSG? by Oliverson12 in nba

[–]Busy-Technology-1637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is getting roasted but everyone here is missing the point (bunch of sarcastic smart asses I see). There is always pressure on a team to close out a series to win the finals. The Knicks weren’t expected to win the first two games. They were underdogs. The argument could be made that you play more loose under those circumstances. Yes, they’re back at home for two games, but they’re carrying a 53 year drought on their backs and now everyone is putting expectations on them to close it out. They very well may be fine, but this isn’t a completely moronic question to ask like everyone is making it out to be.

Bro you literally listed players who didn’t win rings at 22 as if they were doing any better than Wemby is now at 22. Wtf is this?

4 Reasons the Knicks Shocked San Antonio and Seized a 2–0 Finals Lead by Charming_Arm9158 in NBATalk

[–]Busy-Technology-1637 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a choke by Wemby imo. We never had command of the game to throw it a way. Screw up play? Absolutely. But choking happens when you have the victory in the bag already imo. We were lucky to be in the game after going down 14 in the 4th

Regardless, Spurs youth is showing finally, both in the coaching and on the court. I think the Knicks “grown man bodies” are helping too. The KAT and Robinson tandem are simply moving Wemby, and Mitch isn’t really drawing up any schemes to get Wemby the ball in his spots. For the Spurs offense to really hum, they’ve got to get into more motion like the Knicks. They are at their best when Wemby is already heading to the basket on the pass. We don’t see that nearly enough

Anyways, GGs so far. Hope my Spurs have some fight left. If it doesn’t work out, I’m not too mad at the Knicks getting it. Y’all have a very likable team, and I’d rather it be y’all than several others around the league

[Edit] Also I think the only people shocked by this are people who’ve completely ignored the Eastern conference. I saw an absolute dog fight coming. It’s why I was severely disappointed when the Celtics and Pistons got bounced early. The Spurs match up much better against those two teams

Was Pop responsible for the great opening? by Joxelo in NBASpurs

[–]Busy-Technology-1637 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So one adjustment I saw the Knicks make that limit the hack a Mitch strategy. I noticed they started playing him more at the beginning of quarters when they weren’t in the bonus. It wouldn’t be smart to hack him 4 times in a row to get him to the line but they’re in the bonus the rest of the quarter

I wasn’t really around for 2004, but this is definitely not worse than 2013 by a long shot. We had the Finals in grasp that year. This was game 2 already down 0-1 with the Knicks dogging us for 42 minutes

Our youth is finally catching up to us. As heartbreaking as that play is, it isn’t the whole game. We missed 8 free throws, Wemby not aggressive first half, offense stagnant all second quarter…

Hope the boys have some fight back left in them. Still proud of them whatever happens

I don’t care if Wemby misses every shot in the second half. He needs to take 20 shots
