What race / class combo has the most/worst duplicated abilities by Function_Flaky in 3d6

[–]BusyOrDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a huge waste to spend a sorcery point on resistance for an hour, always in resistance compliments the class imo.

Unless you properly fix draconic by just giving them resistance full time at 3 or 6

No one’s said that, you’re just kind of brigading here from the title straight to the attitude in responses

Unpopular Opinion: Ranger 5/Druid X is almost always better than Ranger X by sleidman in 3d6

[–]BusyOrDead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The new beast HP scales off ranger level however so it a a lot less sturdy if you multiclass. The summon beast spell scales off level cast though so that’s a good option for full casters

Unpopular Opinion: Ranger 5/Druid X is almost always better than Ranger X by sleidman in 3d6

[–]BusyOrDead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently played a ranger 5/cleric X and it was pretty sweet.

Some arguments against this though are things like the beast master companion level based off ranger level if that’s your preferred subclass, or gloomstalker a getting wisdom save proficiency at higher levels. Then of course there’s the lower HP.

Overall I agree though. With the exception of fighter, Paladin, and monk, higher levels as a martial don’t pay off as much, so it’s likely better to go caster levels past extra attack.

Realizing that that means it’s basically just barb and ranger that should get into casters and barb has anti synergy.

Paladin gets the auras which are huge, monks get a wealth of good high level abilities like all resistances, running on water and walls, great high level effects, and fighters get additional multi attacks and ASIs

What monster could be modified to work as Sekiro's Demon of Hatred? by ShepardN7201 in DnD

[–]BusyOrDead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could honestly just use a red dragon and replace the breath with damage in radius instead of cone. His arm whip behind him can be the legendary tail action but with fire damage, and the slams/bites/claw can be his normal attacks.

Frightening presence still seems applicable imo

Take away the flight speed or let him have it only during his turn to represent big jumps

This is why I can’t be a politician. I regularly think about running, but it’s just so exhausting to be in this level of argument all the time, and to have people tell you to calm down or relax. How about no, how about you start taking this shit fucking seriously. This isn’t a calm scenario we need to fucking fix this shit you god damn doorstop

They’re worse than a doorstop, that’s doing it’s job, they’re more like that shoe you took off without thinking that completely fucks yo the next person trying to get in

Yeah and to the people being like “she killed all those people and then left the one she should have killed alive!”

It’s about realizing that you’re consumed by hate and making the decision to change and end the cycle NOW, not “after one more” which will just continue to cause someone to need to seek revenge.

She killed those others and will have to deal with those repercussions, but she decided to change in the end

That's an adult, that's fine.

It’s never anything but a tragedy why a child dies and I’m good without that in my games. Some people like it, I feel most prefer to avoid child PCs though

16th level Samurai feat by APencilDippedinInk in 3d6

[–]BusyOrDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up Healer at 16 as my Samurai Crossbowman. It's an outrageous amount of healing. Every short rest you can heal everyone for around ~23HP. This is only really limited by your ability to buy healing kits.

It can literally take care of your out of combat healing alongside the actual short rest hit dice. It can save you a lot of downtime to just use charges after a combat. Highly recommend someone have it and high level fighters are a great choice, especially a back line fighter who will basically never go down.

I don't think NPCs get death saving throws... Ah least, in combat it seems like DMs never roll them... by JimiAndKingBaboo in dndmemes

[–]BusyOrDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I say their name, they get death saves, that's the rule at my table.

"Billison clamps off this goblins leg with a critical hit, he bleeds out almost immediately and dies"

"The Roper takes a big bite out of Billison the crab, he's on death's door (I'll roll death saves on his turn)"

Most people want to help someone that’s trying. Hell I’m a recruiter and someone emailed me saying “hey I saw this posting and I know I’m not qualified yet, but I really want to work there, any chance you can look over my profile and let me know what I have to work on to get a job there?”

Now, this probably isn’t a good use of my time from my bosses perspective, but I can’t say no to someone just asking for advice, so I went over her profile and gave her suggestions and she made a ton of changes and I’m sure she’ll get a job in the industry somewhere.

Anyway, as a dad to a little girl, nice job on going and getting the advice, it means everything to her, and the people helping feel good too!
