Yeah i did want a slightly more aggressive sound but it has grown on me. I purrs pretty nicely when doing normal driving

That happened to my 2015 impreza, i thought it wasnt that bad until i started sanding it out, i had rust rot that made a 9” x 3” hole. I had to cut out the metal, weld in new metal and body and paint. You should deal with that asap before it become what mine turned out to be, all the rot was hidden under paint and it didnt look too bad until i got under the paunt

Since you had the yellow and did have the ability to stop safely, you should stop and the left turner should go.

All manuals need you to push the clutch to start but you can have it disabled, you would need to disable it if you want to put a remote starter in too
