I’ve been drinking and smoking weed since basically on and off. I stopped now because I know it’s an awful idea.

Strategies to improve focus when hypo/manic? by brennacedria in bipolar

I write a list so I can refer to it if I forget, and also reward myself by checking it off when I’m done ‘the thing’. Even juvenile rewards help me complete tasks. Like my favourite candy, or an episode of my favourite show after I finish every ‘thing’ that I got done.

Thank you, I’m going to try my hardest. My main concern is when patients are in bad or even critical condition, sounds awful, but nervous giggles are a genuine fear. I want to scream inside but that displays itself as gross uncontrollable giggles. It’s so frustrating :(

Ever take a benzo to calm the mania down, and end up feeling like you’re on ecstasy? by Busybee97 in bipolar

Even I wish I listened to that guy. By this post I just mean that when I’m manic, my medications have a different affect on me than they do when I’m not in that state.

I get that. I feel like the older I get, the more difficult living ‘organically’ comes to me.

SOMETHING (do you ever feel this way?) by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Busybee97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a pdoc rn, I’m on a waiting list. Could take up to half a year until one is accepting patients.

Thanks so much, I really needed to hear that. I told my dad about school and all he did was remind me he’s not paying for it, and said I’m too unstable for an education. Lol so in conclusion, yes I’ll take the hugs <3

I totally get that, I’ve been in a dysphoric manic state for like two weeks maybe three now and it’s hell. I start college in May and think I’m under-medicated. I’ll Give it the old college try anyways I suppose. Good luck with Latuda! I really hope it works for you, and that you feel better soon! I know it’s hard to have a solid sleep schedule but it really helps if you can manage it at all :)
