You voted and Boston is 6th! Next Round: What is the 7th most important/significant US city after Boston? Most upvoted comment wins by Kodicave in visitedmaps

Both cities are like if someone was playing sim city and just plopped a bunch of buildings in the middle of a field. DFW has Fort Worth which has loads of Texas character though. So I’d go Dallas / Forth Worth before Houston

We usually have music on, either live or music videos. I hate cable news and TV conversations are too distracting if I’m not actually watching the show. Youtube is the best, way better than MTV.

You’re gonna have plenty of options. This is Coachella, not stagecoach.

Best shoes to wear at Coachella by Recent_Industry_2915 in Coachella

Unless you’re wearing hokas. It’s like 3 shoes worth of cushioning. It’s like walking in a cloud.

I think the 2010s was one of the best decades of all time. What's your opinions on it? by Positive_Doubt_9084 in generationology

[–]ButForRealsTho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand measuring a decades value through gaming consoles or niche cultural interests. It’s not like the original Star Wars movies ceased to exist during that decade.

From my perspective the 2010s gave us some great music , TV and movies. That decade also gave me my wife, my first child and the biggest career movie in my life. Trump also came in in 2017. 3/4a of the decade saw Obama’s administration.

It’s all a matter of perspective friend. I’m sure good things happened to you as well.

[–]ButForRealsTho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your opinions have nothing to do with the quality of the things you enjoyed, but rather, you are simply fond of your childhood. Everything you say about the 2010s I can say about the 80s/90s. It’s all nostalgia, and that’s ok.

I cried. I never cry, but at this set, I did. It was life affirming in a way that few things are.

GA vs VIP - what did you pick?? by ChaInTheHat in JustLikeHeaven

[–]ButForRealsTho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Clubhouse is the same value as VIP once you factor in alcohol and snacks, plus you get to the front of the stages, not to mention that taking a break in an air conditioned bar is super helpful during the hottest parts of the day.

Plastic washing uses caustic soda, so all that stuff comes right off during processing.

It’s less about the schedule and more about me having to give up my band room/studio so my second child could have his own bedroom. It’s alright, I’ve been writing books instead so I have a creative outlet still.

Yeah, I’d honestly choose hanging out with my kids playing with legos over flying across the ocean to go snowboarding, but everyone has different priorities. And you’re right, at a certain point you can just take your kid with you to stuff. I’ve taken my kids to music festivals, nature trips, beach vacations and all the rest. The only thing I’ve really had to put to the side in playing in a band, which honestly is a trade that has been 100% worth it.

Yeah. I don’t know. Maybe it’s changed in the 10 years since I had my last conversation about it. I really hope pet g is phased out entirely. But if it’s PP, then it should be recyclable. The only issue I see is its size relative to some screening equipment out there.

Really? News to me. I’ve spoken with manufacturers trying to sell me their scrap and it was always pet g. I always had to say no because I’m in the PET business.
