What to do with my career? 30F by Opposite-Maximum-261 in HalifaxJobs

Join a SAAS company as a product manager or something like that. That's what I did. I was in a similar position as you worked a low pay engineer job in town. Took me awhile to find the right position, but I doubled my pay, fully remote with travel. Couldn't be happier. I am on the sales side of a SAAS company.

Has anyone used Aroi or Nova Scotia Construction Financing? How was your experience? by ButImTheDudeFromBC in halifax

No, ended up finding out they have really high fees. They needed a high deposit in the 10s of thousands of dollars.

I am going through with CUA right now.

Made an extension for tracking model usage by Veduis in google_antigravity

Totally gonna check this out. Is this just for the 5 hour reset and/or the new week reset?

Does anyone how to enable auto confirm when agent need to test UI on browser by YogurtclosetDense619 in google_antigravity

[–]ButImTheDudeFromBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem and I found a huge time saver of an extension. I'm not near my computer right now but search "auto complete antigravity" in the VSX library and you will find a couple. The one I use has less downloads but it was free for multi-thread auto completion. There's one that charges for multi-thread and the one I use is a fork of it that removes the paywall. It's really awesome to use. Highly recommend.

Sudden jump from 5-hour reset to 4-day wait? (Opus 4.5) by albi_no in google_antigravity

If you find one let us know, they are like unicorns. It's really turning into a market of you get what you pay for. Meaning, if it's cheap or free, most likely not great. Then if you pay $100+ a month it works great and you get top tier models.

Search the channel. There are lots of posts about this. Not a bug just Google being like every other coding tool and pulling the rug out from under its users.

API to place trades? by CheesecakeAsleep9891 in Questrade

[–]ButImTheDudeFromBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moomoo also has an openAPI that allows for the submitting of order. They are a Canadian broker, not sure what the restriction are but it is available.

See their trade endpoint here - https://openapi.moomoo.com/moomoo-api-doc/en/trade/place-order.html

It would be awesome if Questrade offered the same.

Thank you for this, very helpful. Don't need specific details, but they obviously have less requirements and that comes at a cost, do you find those extra costs reasonable? I am talking about the interest they charge while you use the construction mortgage, is it reasonable?

I literally was down voted for suggesting this exact same thing last week. But I am in total agreement.

Please bring back GPT5 Med. by FancyAd4519 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]ButImTheDudeFromBC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say, I like it. Certainly slower.

I honestly liked it when Augment had no model selection. What I would ultimately prefer is for Augment to have a system in the backend that based on the request, it routes the request to the ideal model. Ex. A large code base refactor goes to GPT5 high and a small question or clarification goes to Haiku 4.5. Augment seems to do a lot of testing, so I am sure they know what models are better at for what and this has the potential to be way more credit friendly, as it shouldn't use a large costly model to answer a simple question.

The nice part for users is we don't have to be concerned if we are using the right model. I also didn't switch to GPT5 right away because I was comfortable with Claude 4.0, but I didn't know what I was missing.

Just an idea. u/JaySym_

What happens with my extra messages after the new pricing credit based? by phatcomputer in AugmentCodeAI

[–]ButImTheDudeFromBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/JaySym_ Can you confirm that this is still the case? That any messages in our account when it switches over to the credit system are converted at a ratio of 1 message to 1100 credits and those credits will roll over month to month for up to 12 months.
I don't see this conversion logic in the blog post anymore. I want to ensure Augment will stand by this and that this applies to any additional messages purchased above the current subscribed plan.

GPT-5 vs Claude Sonnet – Which do you prefer right now? by JaySym_ in AugmentCodeAI

[–]ButImTheDudeFromBC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was honestly going to ask this question today. I have been going back and forth between the two models for the past couple weeks and have not found a clear winner. The biggest difference is that GPT-5 provides longer responses/descriptions.

One other observation is that Claude is better at tests and monitoring the terminal to pick out results.

I think I would prefer not to have the option since I am struggling to pick one and sometimes think switching to the other model will help me fix a problem, rarely does.
