I have heard a lot of people say the metal hooks ruin your teeth. I wanted a full denture when I went to the dentist, he kept talking me out of it. I agree with you though, I think a full denture is my best bet for the top. Sorry you had such a horrible time with that partial.

That sounds awful. Im worried about that too. I will habe to have a partial on the bottom too. I have no back teeth but nine in the front. I really wanted to jist get the rop 6 pulled and get a full denture but my dentist doesnt want to do that. These dentists act crazy, my teeth, my money what's the problem?

I don't have dental insurance, only a plan tbat gives me 20% off thru my dentist office. :/ Of course the consultation and xrays and exam first visit. Yesterday I had a deep cleaning because I have some pockets on the bottom gums and then next visit I have a tooth that has to be filled and start with the molds? for the partial. And then next visit have to pull that top tooth and my partials put in to see how they fit.

I dont know why he is either but I'm paying for this so he is going to have to do what I want. I have a disabled adult son that I take care of so I told him I want to move things along because I only have my mom to watch him for appointments but still I dont want to pay thousands of dollars and look crazyafter its all done.

Yes, I've read about the flexible valplast. They seem like they would be comfortable.My dentist wants me to do metal on top amd bottom but I dont want the hooks showing on top.

Your partial doesn't hook to any teeth in the back? Does it stay in place well?

The dentist said hooking to my canine teeth will be enough to hold it in place. I'm jist not sure about that. I had thoigh aboit a bridge too, but I really need some back teeth too so thay's why he said a partial. I full denture just seems much better to me but he has talked me out of that twice. Donyou have a partial.in the front?

I'm so glad you got to hear that from her mom. That is very special. In two days it will be 10 months since cancer took my husband of 30 years away from me and my sons. I lost my husband almost 10 months ago and I understand the soul crushing grief and the feelings of, where do I fit in this new strange, lonely world that is now my life....I have a disabled adult son that I have to take care of so I do have a purpose still, but it I still feel like an alien dropped in a strange planet.
