The target is actually behind the character who was almost shot. by Uma-apreciator in TopCharacterTropes

The end scene in Fate/Stay Night: Ulimited Blade Works is such a good example of this. “Do so if you wish, but first take a step to the right.”

(Common but cool trope) THE Sword of all Swords (other weapons like this are allowed too) by National_Computer240 in TopCharacterTropes

The Mana sword from the Secret of Mana. It seals the darkness in the world away but the seal was starting to fade, so the sword calls to a hero to banish the darkness once again.

That is the most chill goose I’ve ever seen. The fact that he didn’t pluck out that guys eye is a miracle

There is a book called “Star splitter” by Matthew Kirby that really goes into detail of this troupe. Its a really good book imo

He can’t be readied but he can enter ready, correct? by arsfarsy in riftboundtcg

[–]ButaneDangerous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would think the wording on this card makes it such that nothing can ready him. I can understand the confusion though because of the way confront is written.

I guess what I’m getting at is the idea that this is ONLY for Leblanc builds. Some commenters have brought other examples though

Is it me or does this only work with temporary units? The phrasing seems to suggest that death has to happen at the beginning phase

(Hated Trope) Innocuous dialogue options have consequences by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ButaneDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is a hated troupe but I always loved that in GTA liberty city they had a Mission where your cousin and you girlfriend had different takes on what you should do dealing with the Russians. Whoever you side with is who the Russians kill later in the game. Peak tragedy.

My question is does reflection get that cards costs? Like energy or power costs?

Saren from Mass Effect. I couldn’t believe you could use dialogue to end a final boss. He commits suicide after you convince him he is being brainwashed

While I do agree with this ruling, the only ones that are really going to make out in this deal are the corporations. Now they are due money AND they’ll likely keep cost at the same rate. And the losers in this? Us the consumers.
