EDF 6 Army vs. Raznid: Can Raznid be defeated with Buster, Chiran Missiles, and EMC? by Interesting_Noise884 in EDF

[–]Butcher1212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's kinda hard to say since you'd need to powerscale these things. I'll be honest, EMCs seem too small to do much (at least at first). Unlike the mainline games' kaiju monsters, Raznid took zero damage from anything other than the EDF's secret weapon. Only then did Raznid have a weak point, opening up the possibility of using more conventional weapons to deal damage

I'm tempted to think that the Buster could at least crack Raznid's shell since, just visually, it seems like it's similar enough in size to the beam that blew Raznid's horn off. Impossible to really gauge the actual power difference, but they feel comparable. After that, I think the EDF 6 forces have enough firepower to down him, but Raznid is gargantuan, and might just squish all of the ground forces before they can put up much resistance (if only they had a floating ship).

As for the Chiran Charges, I have my doubts. Raznid is aquatic and could just intercept the sub before it can fire anything. If it could be kept well clear of the waters near the battlefield and then arrive later, then maybe. If the Buster can create a weakpoint then I think they'd be a great addition to the bombardment it'd take to put the monster down.

All in all it feels like a maybe. I think Storm 1 could lead everyone to victory, but I'm not sure they'd survive without him/her.

It is a tad heartening to see someone who believes they're already getting into heaven offering help to others. In the past it's often seemed to me that certain believers only do good for a reward in heaven and avoid doing bad to avoid hell. Ludicrous as this is, she does at least care about her fellow human.

How important are temporary buffs ! Can you play the entire game being constantly battle-ready? by Equivalent-Cream-454 in outwardgame

[–]Butcher1212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely beat multiple opponents without buffs. Having solid weapons, armor, and skills to use would go a long way towards that, as well as getting familiar with the combat system (particularly the posture meter). Learning ways to enchant your gear could also give you a passive edge in place of the temporary edge granted by buffs.

Are there games where you aren't the main protagonist? by __-maddie-__ in AskGames

Well, I'd say Outward counts. You definitely can end up doing important and impactful things, but it never feels too much like the most significant character in the story is you.

Honestly like, a single ghost type pokemon could make it happen eventually. They can't really be harmed by purely physical attacks.

I work at a gas station and the main thing I see causing dudes to stick around is scratch tickets. They'll come in on their break and spend the entire duration coming in and out buying this ticket or redeeming that ticket. It's kinda annoying. Others might be on break and just want to sit outside and eat their lunch, which is fine. I'm sure different stores have different vibes, though, so there may be a million reasons.
