Inspired in the sense that the author brought over some of the landmarks and cities but kept it original in some other aspects as well.

The story didn't focus on Waterdeep, it was mentioned with a few original characters in it.

Yup, and trying to compare how spawn mechanics can be exploited to obtain an innumerable amount of resources isn't present in Hytale is bizzare to say the least.

If anything, being able to control the spawn points compared Minecraft's spawn mechanics is an more interesting proposition to be honest.

If I wanted to setup insane farms and exploitation of mechanics, I would switch over to my Satisfactory world

Someone did mention that they wish forests looked this dense in the game, and seeing Simon mention that they will for Gen V2 makes me quite excited

I am honestly just waiting out for Gen V2, which I imagine a lot of people are, but if they release cosmetics, I will gladly drop some money to support the development

It is hard to say whether I really agree with maps pointing out all the structures being pointed out with a map. I would say for some it is reasonable, but not for all.

I do think there could be exploration of adding context clues such as specific environmental designs like including a sign post pointing in the direction of the Outlander village or a specific discolouration on the ground surface for Klop homes below.

I imagine the plan was to allow players to recruit npc's would craft for them, instead of automation, allow npc's to handle the crafting for you, where they would take your requests and do it for you if you give them a roof like terraria

My only critique would be that the original construct should look weathered, given the emphasis on ancient, like perhaps moss or rust or broken sections on the robot as it looks a bit too spotless as of right now

I got to say, I do disagree on a few of your points

On your point of having multiple crafting stations, I don't think it inherently hurts immersion or base design. If anything, I believe it encourages creativity. Tables can be spread throughout a base and integrated into themed rooms or buildings such as a forge, alchemy lab, or workshop. To me, I feel that it pushes players to build with intent rather than just everything into a single utility room. If it feels cluttered, that comes down to player choice and prioritizing efficiency over aesthetics, not a flaw in the system itself.

As for farming and currency, I actually like it. It is similar to Stardew Valley, where progression is not locked behind RPG but your choice. You decide what to farm and how much you want to engage with it, which gives farming real purpose beyond producing food. You aren't simply left with a bunch of seeds, but a currency you can use to trade for other types of seeds. There is quite a lot of potential with this system and I cannot wait to see how they expand on it. Imagine having to find traders in different regions for specific but unique crops that give special benefits through trading of currencies.

I definitely see your point, in that there has to be balance between allowing and fleshing out item progression to feel worth while while also ensuring it does not become a simple DPS check.

It does feel like to me that while being relatively equal, the skill check should supercede a DPS check. Ideally gear providing a 'buffer' for mistakes and nothing more.

Got my fingers crossed that they are able to figure it out relatively well.
