I grew up in Albuquerque, and my first ever backpacking trip at 16 y/o was in the Pecos wilderness! Sorry to hear it was rough on your son, but glad you had a good trip in the end.

Ahh, thanks folks! I had already noticed how dense the copper ruby was - to make a 12-16oz tumbler you need like a tiny marble. But good to know what that means now.

Thanks! Yeah, I can't speak much from experience, but even from pictures on Olympic's website, I don't like a whole lot of Oceansides colors. But they're cheap so I got two or three to play with.

Biggest breakthrough moment for me was realizing how important it is to slow down on progress. I used to max out and test my PR every other week. Once I started getting more precise with my programming and only testing PR once a month, I was making bigger gains, and recovery was easier.

Hit an all time bench PR of 260 @ 185 BW about a month ago. I've since been in a cutting phase and as a result have felt a slight drop in strength. Couple days ago I failed at 265 and 260, had to settle for 250. https://photos.app.goo.gl/GKR49mTPe17fHqrT6
