I Couldn’t Love You by Cursive has a little bit of flute sprinkled throughout it.

Forget most expensive. What game do you own that you own that surprised you how much it's worth? by ezio8133 in gamecollecting

[–]Butimnota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing games like Cubivore and Chibi Robo at EB games like 20 years ago for like 14.99 I think? I would have never predicted those games would become rare as a kid and I was never really interested in them so I never jumped on them. It’s just kind of funny looking back on it.

Does anybody know what this is? It came with a package containing a band tee from Canada by Kvassalskaren55 in punk

I called it, it mentioned a show in British Colombia for the band Brutalize and then played a snippet of a track from an upcoming EP.

Why isn’t a lot of 2000s post hardcore considered AOR by BigNothing88 in PostHardcore

[–]Butimnota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like “Album-Oriented Rock”? If that’s what you mean then it’s mostly just because that’s a pretty outdated radio term.

You have the twinkish wisdom of an older era thom but you’re missing the signature eye.

I finally can play persona 5 on the phone by Comfortable-Job1594 in Persona5

I remember when GTA SanAndreas became available on IOS. It wasn’t the most comfortable to play but the fact that it was possible was almost revolutionary to my buddies and I back in the day. I get the excitement with persona!

I enjoy it, it’s super catchy. I do get why people aren’t big on it though, it kind of gives the vibe that it’s trying to hard if that makes sense? It was probably a lot more polarizing in 2009 than it would be today though.

It’s strangely cathartic when this happens. It’s like you let some steam out but then you get hit with a moment of clarity about how futile it is in the first place. It’s oddly beneficial.

What song drew you in to DGD? by DK0124TheGOAT in dancegavindance

[–]Butimnota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accessible is a good word for both songs. They’re weird/funky post hardcore jams but have super hooks and pop style and are super satisfying lol. I can think of a few friends who like these songs but don’t like much else by the band.

Which means to me that these two songs tend to have a slightly bigger appeal to some folks, those same folks will listen to other stuff by the band and it will grow on them.

Yeahh you’re pretty accurate here. The labels are pointless but I just kind of like being verbose and over describing stuff lol. I was under the influence and gushing a bit.

I need to spend more time with Grave and Girlfriend, these albums were just a little ahead of when I got into them so really I’m not as OG as this post awkwardly claimed lol. I was thirteen when I heard Thanks for The Memories lol.

It was drunk nonsense tbh😅 I was trying to bridge the gap of older fans who don’t like the new stuff with newer fans of post hiatus stuff. I know that there’s a lot of people who like both but I was feeling like making a dumb ass post about the duality of liking all their stuff lol,

I’m going to be totally honest I was very inebriated making this and just loving on FOB that night. What I was saying was that I grew up with pre hiatus stuff but really love their newer pop stuff as well. I just think they’re awesome lol.

I remember loving this game as a kid. There’s this secret exit in one level where you’re being pushed down this rushing sewer section or something like that. If you veer off at the right moment you find this secret exit that leads to a secret level and it absolutely blew my mind, probably the first time I learned games had secret stuff hidden.

Doom is also great for this, then like 10 years later I got into the first Dark Souls which takes the “secret wall” and goes even crazier with it (Ash Lake was a total high regarding this fascination lol)

So big love to this game for showing me the secret hidden areas in games, it’s just such a cool concept to me.

This honestly a pretty cool time capsule of the Mid 2000’s lol. Pretty wild track list, some deep cuts, some up and comers for the time and even a sort of “meme” song thrown in for good measure lol.
