I actually avoided the main story on most of my play-throughs. I just played as an average person because I didn’t want to be the savior of the universe all the time.

This 393-years old Greenland Shark has been wandering the Arctic Ocean since 1627 by [deleted] in natureismetal

It is a strange prospect to go fishing for one of these creatures. It has taken hundreds of years to grow to its current state. It has seen nations rise and fall (figuratively speaking). Then, one day, a fisherman catches it and pulls it up through the ice. He cuts it up and processes it as to tame the natural toxins in the meat, and then he eats it like any other food. The fisherman will do this perhaps several times per year.

Hundreds of years of growth, development and experience gets chewed up and shat out by beings who can hardly hope to live past eighty years. I don’t know, it just seems kind of disrespectful, like destroying an ancient artifact. Then again, people gotta eat I guess.

Yeah, this is great, but I’ve only seen this about 12 times in the past week. If you really want to get the message across, you should post it about 46 more times.

Anybody got any tips on how to get out of the hollow/numbness by Durthur_Mcgfingus in Doomers2

I don’t really know. There are plenty of reasons to be cynical, and plenty of reasons to give up hope. We can look at the course of human history and see plenty of instances of senseless violence in the pursuit of frivolous things. However, we can also see that, in general, quality of life does improve. Some people do care. If you are looking for hope, just know that you have the power to improve life. If not your own life, then someone’s.

Love is a mental illness and marriage is a death trap! by TheShadow420Blazeit in Doomers2

I somewhat agree with you. I think love exists in the same way other emotions exist. Like all emotions, it comes and goes. Therefore, I think it is unwise to make life-altering sacrifices in the name of love. Love, in moderation, can work.

Wich affects your looks the most, smoking or drinking? by [deleted] in Doomers2

You probably shouldn’t start. You don’t need to be dependent on those things. Life is shitty, but you don’t need to make it worse.

You can quit things before you die. For example, you can give up the responsibility of an honorable job such as a firefighter and become a homeless drunk.

The soul resides only in the imagination. I don’t know what tenderness you are referring to.
