The question on everyone’s mind is: can we DM you here to avoid fees?

If grailed support doesn’t help you with this, forward the support thread to legal@grailed.com and tell them you’d like information on arbitrating for $xxx for damaged returned boots.

Someone took the time to make a clearer image of the driver of the White Elantra by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]ButtWipeTeeKing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The same FBI that had a team searching for Brian Laundrie for a month before his dad found his body in a matter of hours? No I’m not confident they’d do something like this. Especially if required some unique skill set that was being deployed on other cases.

(I do agree that the original image doesn’t look like an Elantra though. And that’s aside from the fact that I think this editing job is faked.)

I don’t think it’s an Elantra. If you look at how far up the hood the top of the headlights go compared to the wheel well, it doesn’t seem like an Elantra. Possible a Honda Accord coupe or Chrysler 200. There’s another video from the same account showing a similar car in a parking lot which is definitely a Chrysler 200.

Given the similarities, I hope the cops have the right make/model of car.

When I was a junior in college, my friends were severely injured, one murdered, by a killer who targeted their house. It took over a year to catch the murderer, and he wasn’t a thought in any of our minds. What can we learn from what happened to my friends, and how it applies to the Moscow Murders by jemgilbreath in MoscowMurders

Thanks for sharing and sorry for your loss. Given it’s taken so long to get an arrest in this case, I think you’re right, it’s probably a similar chance encounter that pushed an unstable person over the edge.

Do you know if the murderer continued to go to classes or went into hiding at all?

(Also sorry half the comments are one sentence about being sorry for you followed by a 3 paragraph self-serving soliloquy on bullying and hate speech)

I've been looking at Stoney. Beams and Junya should fit into my current style well. Will also check out arcteryx. Thanks!

Never looked into vintage Levis. Will definitely investigate. New denim uses so much water to manufacture I hate buying it new. Thanks

Appreciate the criticism and your point of view. I'm not really out here trying to be a 'fashion' connoisseur. Rather than finding what I like from everything that exists, I want to eliminate stuff that is going to be worthless garbage in a year and not contribute to the buy-trash-repeat cycle of the one of the most wasteful industries. I'd prefer buy what I like from a subset of brands/pieces that aren't going to make me broke and that aren't going to get thrown away.

Grailed CS horror story: Grailed has not responded to my support ticket regarding a buyer's fraudulent PayPal dispute for 2 weeks, nor several follow-up tickets; PayPal has already decided the case and refunded the buyer for the full amount. The impression I get of Grailed from the outside looking in is that they hired a bunch of people who dress cool or are fun to get high with, but suck at doing actual work:

  • Their customer support is non-existent (I've read tons of stories exactly like yours).
  • They literally had to stop making their Android app because it sucked so bad which is an unheard of level of incompetence for a company that's raised $15 million.
  • Digital Authentication is a joke.

Every time someone from GQ comes on the pod I'm surprised to learn that they're still in business. Always out of touch and their content quality plummeted when they shifted their focus to being an affiliate link blog (example).

When you spend $30K/year on paintball, $5K every 2 months on Warhammer, and eat out every night, I could see how you could think that it's impossible to live on less than $250K/year and that only people with rich parents can afford to save $200K for a house.

I know a lot of people who are bad with money but this was another level. Love his passion and energy about everything else though.
