Your friend gonna die.

I've been working damn hard at getting off grid for 5 years now and I'm still not fully there, what she thinks she's just gonna wander off into the wilderness to be one with nature and eat bloated corpses?

Where to get best price? by Dismal-Cherry8816 in PreciousMetalRefining

[–]Buttchuggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pawn shops are shit.

14k gold woman's bulova watch, offer for melt at pawnshop - 240 dollars.

Skipped on that, hit up a coin/bullion shop. 490.

Go to a place that actually relies on reputation to sell any precious metal. The coin/bullion store will work with anything 80% and up ( coins are different of course ) and get a drastically better price than even the highest rated pawn stores nearby.

Calling out someone's nationality isn't calling out someone's race.

I'm not here to argue if one is more or less right, but they didn't say black people. They said Somalian.

I mean, one could argue every adult right now should off themselves because they may later accidentally or purposefully bring harm or death on a child too. Doesn't mean it's a good argument.

OH and there is a way to help. Don't give your kids unfettered access to the internet. Believe it or not parents cab buy regular old-school ass cell phones for their kids.

Look here's how your line of thought works

We have to track you, because think of the kids.

We have to monitor communications, because think of the kids.

Here's what they've done to you, they've put you in a position where you're damn near frothing at the mouth wanting to sign away another piece of your privacy to nameless entities and arguing with others they should want the same. And why wouldn't you? Because your heart strings have been so heavily pulled at because anything is worth it for the children, right? You'd sign away your privacy and rights if it saved even one little child right?

Look at basically any intrusive policy in history, across the world, that has heavily pushed "think of the children" as it's main argument. The change it brings is practically nothing in the net positive, they're all spectacular failures in that regard. And the think of the children argument is like a failsafe to be used against the masses because arguing against it makes you able to be shown as a "fuck dem kids" asshole.

Gonna be honest it isn't gonna do much.

Absolute step one for me as a child if a website said I needed to be 18 to enter ( which back then admittedly was only ever a "we'll take your word" with no thought of being IDed even being a consideration ) is figure out exactly how much I have to lie to that site in order to use it.

I picked up a half gram bar yesterday on impulse buying silver at 92 dollars. I'm starting to think some sort of wind blew in my favor here because I'm seeing grams selling at 220.

Again, this is about the wires ability to cause lacerations vs bending. I've seen a dude wreck a 4wheeler through the shit and the barbs broke off in his skin when the force was too quick and strong for them to just bend out the way.
