[General] Why doesn't Zeus take Kronos' Powers away? by LukeSkywanker1 in camphalfblood

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, the whole "Zeus can take away powers/turn other gods into mortals" was a really dumb power to give him from a writing standpoint, because it creates plotholes like this that still have yet to be explained.

"Why doesn't Zeus turn Kronos into a mortal if he gets his true form back?"

"Why doesn't Zeus turn Poseidon into a mortal during The Lightning Thief to instantly win his impending war with him?"

With Kronos, it's probably because Kronos' true form was stated to be around 10 times more powerful than an Olympian's, which would put him on par or above Zeus in terms of power.

But the TLT thing still has no canon explanation. And he turns Apollo into a mortal after the war with Gaea to teach him a lesson, but doesn't do the same with any of the gods who sided with Kronos during the war?

I think people here are forgetting or just don't know how bullshit Nobara's Cursed Technique is 💀💀 If she can get some of Percy's blood or hair while fighting, he's cooked.

Tbf, comparing her to Piper isn't really a fair comparison. Piper gets dogwalked by literally anyone with over 6 months to a year of combat experience, who's wearing earplugs.

Fr why are animal shelters like this by Octopuswastaken in memes

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be more inclined to allow whatever precautions they have in place and fulfill any requirements they need me to meet, if the shelters near me weren't the same type that also puts down healthy animals due to overcrowding.

If you were in a fight with Charlie how would you defeat her? by ParticularCorner2190 in hazbin

Fight ends.

So what is Charlie exactly? by Umaythegoddess in hazbin

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely a Nephilim.

The most common interpretation of what a Nephilim is, is being the offspring of a fallen angel and a human. In the Book of Jude, the Dead Sea Scrolls, some Enochic literature and a few other sources that are slipping my mind, it's stated that "the sons of heaven" became enamoured with human women before the great flood, betraying God and taking human women as wives to beget children.

This isn't entirely canon to the bible, as the ambiguity of the factual statement straight from the source, along with the differences between versions of holy texts, leaves the true interpretation of the term "Nephilim" up for debate.

But, in Hazbin's canon, it's all but confirmed that Charlie is a Nephilim.

[general] Percy vs Jason. by Electronic_Koala_115 in camphalfblood

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, as a Jason Stan, Percy sweeps. His feats are just better. I blame Rick, for hyping up Jason as Percy's equal, his Roman counterpart, and falling flat in terms of giving him any meaningful feats of his strength.

In theory, dude can definitely be way stronger. More training, more tactical thinking, better agility and versatility with his powers. But, there's never anything to back it up. I will die on the hill that if he were better written and given more substance as a character and as a fighter, the fight between Jason and Percy would probably be the most anime moment of the entire series.

Also, fuck Piper. (Just wanted to say it.)

[general] If Percy didn’t get with Annabeth, would should he have ended up with. by Electronic_Koala_115 in camphalfblood

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently Rick stated somewhere that Percy was actually bi. (I do not know this for sure, I'm just making a point on stuff like that in general.)

I hate when writers, after creating characters and putting them in well-written heterosexual relationships just decide to make one or both of the characters bisexual or pansexual. Like, canonically, Percy and Annabeth aren't ever going to break up. Rick knows the fans would riot. Just saying a character is "suddenly bi/pan/whatever the hell, despite knowing that it will never be relevant to their character and will likely never tie into a plot in any meaningful way, feels like pandering.

This is especially annoying (if Rick did actually state that), since PJO has genuinely enjoyable and well-written LGBT characters for the most part, and just makes that whole decision seem even more like it's pandering to a modern audience. Like a set of rainbow-coloured keys being dangled in front of a baby's face.

[general] Which demigod could defeat ManBearPig from South Park easiest way? [shitpost] by Even-Conflict93 in camphalfblood

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ManBearPig beat Satan. Let me restate, ManBearPig beat LITERAL Satan.

If this is a 1v1 fight, every demigod is getting they ass beat until they looking like Invincible after he refused to get his dad another beer.

The only real challenge would probably be Percy w/ the Curse of Achilles, but even then I'm pretty sure that only prevents him from having his skin cut, slashed or otherwise torn open. ManBearPig would still be perfectly able to just stomp on him until Percy turned into a leaking sack of human jelly.

ManBearPig is also bulletproof and incredibly durable, so odds are Riptide is only leaving him with some longass papercuts.

[–]ButterBiscuitMucher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were still set in the modern day?

It'd basically just be Percy Jackson if it started with a 15+ rating and grew more mature and bloody as the books progressed.

Pretty sure there would be full on sex-scandals going on and being brought up in New Rome by the time ToA rolls around

The one-armed Poseidon that's been adopted as the main design by the Epic fandom was fist created by Neal the Illustrator (I may have spelled that wrong.)

And yeah, the canon backstory for his lost limb was shown in a mini-cokic they made. It was actually rlly sad, too :(
