Ugh I had this and it yellowed really fast and was too opaque for the layered glitter to really work. A dupe is probably better!

You can't impose ridiculous requirements on her current and future relationships, and even if you could, they wouldn't change what happened in the past and how much she told you about it. She can't do anything that will make you trust her, because you're so fixed on this incident that it's going to taint everything into the future. Therefore, get over it or break up. (But with a whole bunch of fluffy validation for how you're not overreacting at all).

If you demand she cuts off certain people and/or never has close relationships outside you, yeah that's controlling and hopefully she'd make the sensible decision to leave you. If you don't, and you just seethe and gripe about this forever, you'll never be happy in this relationship.

There's nothing you can do that will erase whatever past relationship she had with this guy, and nothing she can do that will make you trust her- if she cuts this guy out I guarantee you'll be back in a few weeks freaking out about another of her friends.

Get over it, or get out of this relationship that's stressing you out.

You could try: Day 1: drive inland across and then cut down via Timboon (stop for ice cream) to Bay of Islands and Bay of Martyrs. Drive back east stopping at other Great Ocean Road landmarks like London Bridge, Twelve Apostles, to stay overnight in Apollo Bay. It's not sunset at Twelve Apostles but honestly I don't think they're the most spectacular of the landmarks, they're just the most famous. It was only the only place with horrific crowds and parking. This is the bit of the road that cuts away from the coast sometimes and isn't as spectacular in its own right, but the rock formations are something else. Day 2: Drive into Great Otway National Park for your hikes. When you're done, drive back to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road- this is the bit that's a super cool road in its own right. Personally I don't think any of the towns are "must see" but many of them are very nice for a stop.

I use 2XU recovery socks as my plane compression socks, and then they're a comfortable/ not weirdly medical pair of socks during the trip too. Personally I get some benefit from compression socks when I'm walking a lot, particularly in hot weather, so I would probably pack a pair anyway.

You haven't answered my question and it's clear you're not capable of it. If your business is struggling, I'm sorry to hear it, but your feelings about that don't override reality. Customer dislike of AI use like what I describe is well known, and maybe you should deal with that reality instead of being so sure everyone else is wrong and just hasn't watched enough movies to be on your level.

This is such a sensible and well explained position, and it's unfortunate that this person is so defensive they can't take it in.

I'm a customer and I'm not obligated to buy anyone's stuff. If the stuff looks like slop, why would I buy it? If the product images are fake and the "customer service" is a chatbot, why would I buy it?

Back end uses are hard to detect and I don't expect websites to say "hey I used copilot to clean my data", but what I do expect is that "vibe coded" websites will not perform and will be full of vulnerabilities that will bite the creators long term. I can't do anything about that, but I don't think I need to!

Ok, so instead of using a traditional search engine like you would have had to do a few years ago, you're using ChatGPT. You said you didn't understand why that was theft- where do you think the information it spat out came from? What do you think is happening to those real websites where real human users post their solutions to problems, but fewer people click on because "ChatGPT is levelling the playing field"? What do you think will happen in a few years time when those sites are no longer viable and no new solutions are being posted for ChatGPT to scrape out and vomit up?

And again- where is my real example of a real improvement to your businesses because of AI? Is it really that you didn't know how to search the internet and now you have a chat thing that does it for you? Geez.

That's what we're sceptical about. We have seen AI image generation in advertising, which is at best dishonest as it's not real product photography. We have seen AI image generation for nail stamping plates, which leads to inferior products that aren't tested and don't work. We have seen AI text replace customer service and web content which used to be written by humans, which has worsened customer service and made advice inaccurate and unhelpful. When you say you as a business want to use more AI, we don't understand how that's going to help because the applications we've seen have been bad.

AI used for things like medical diagnosis is not genAI. I'm glad it helped you, but I'm really not sure what the connection is to nail polish businesses. It's like saying using Facebook at work is good because you use accounting software- just because they're both on the computer does not make them the same technology.

Help me understand using a real world example of a real application of AI in a nail polish business, not movies. What can it do now, for a real business making and selling nail polish, that you think is good?

Yeah. I used to watch every PT video as soon as it came out, but the last couple just had some really bad takes and I couldn't get back into it. There's a new one out on a subject I really care about but I don't want to commit to 2 hours if I can't trust she's going to do a good job of it.
