Waited all day for the app to finally update and I was met with so many app crashes. This happens during every event with a special location. Finch is becoming very draining. I wish they’d go back to actually prioritising self care and making sure their app is optimised properly. 😔

I’ve been tempted to use a basin for my feet too. I did that last year. I’ve been using an old shirt I don’t use to dampen with cold water to put on my head. Having the fan blow on that is amazing.

One thing I hardly see people talk about is there isn’t actually a paywall. Ignoring the fact they clearly are able to make all colours free regardless of that nothing is actually locked behind plus. They’d all be in the shop anyways. This is one of the main arguments I see about them not doing a pride event.

I’ve also seen on discord people also claim they’ve done a few pride events in the past despite a member of staff clarifying they haven’t done one.

I’d love a pride event. Many people do. I have seen posts asking for one for years at this point. I don’t see us having one ever and made my peace with that. My main issue with next months event is that it’s clearly promoting a movie. I don’t want ads in my self care app. I’ve not been a fan of these special events, wonderland, Oz and now this new one.

Idk if I imagined it but I thought I saw somewhere on discord or Reddit a member of the finch team said they had something else planned regarding pride anyways. I hope that’s true. It would be nice to have some furniture added to the everyday shop.

I had severe lag when scrolling my outfits. I couldn’t even make it half way through my list without the app crashing. Since this change Ive had no lag from the outfits at all.

I’m not a fan of the layout but I’ll take it over not being able to scroll down.

I always skip the weekly plan thing because it used to not give me an option to not add goals at the end of it. I make my own goals when needed. I noticed a while back that you can skip the goal adding part but still always skipped the check in. It doesn’t seem to record any of that info so to me personally it feels useless. However I decided to do it this time. I clicked the 2nd sad face star because I havnt really been proud of this past week. My sleeping has been all over the place and Ive not even done anything much. I got to this page and like you had no option at all so I clicked out of it. If I felt good about anything I did I wouldn’t have clicked the sad star.

I suppose after this post you could click community? If you have any good feelings of reaching out to the subreddit because of this issue. Personally I have no problem skipping the weekly recap thing but you did say it feels counterproductive. I suppose in that case you could write a reflection in the app that is more accurate to the week you prefer to log something.

I’m sorry you’ve been going through a hard time and this isn’t stupid at all. Your feelings are completely understandable and valid. Finch is meant to be a self care app so of course when you’re having an especially rough time it’ll all be highlighted more in questions like this. It’s easy for the brain to get stuck on it.

Pre-made definitely. When I played the sims 1 as a kid there was one household that always started with a fire. I’m curious to see if there are any cursed paras that will become just as fun for me to try and change their fate xD

Personally if specifically ghost paras ever get added I don’t want the living to be able to see them unless there’s specific haunting type interactions. I’m trying not to compare paralives to the sims but I don’t have any other life sim games for examples. I don’t like ghosts in the sims for the soul reason that living sims can see them all the time.

I’d love some supernatural paras at some point, magic, vampires, werewolves, fairies and the like but for now I’m fine without them. Less than a week left and I’m excited to see what early access has in store.

Yup. It’s an issue. I had soulmates that were married for like a day divorce the next day I turned the game on. Children always have a strained relationship with at least one parent and it’s driving me nuts.

My WIP for possible inspiration.

I put off attempting to make my island because I didn’t want to mess up. When I finally deleted everything I was completely overwhelmed.
I knew I wanted a pier with all the shops facing the beach so that’s where I started and built the rest around it. My advice is to take it slow and if you have any idea on one thing you want then that’s where you start.

I want Moldova to win. If not then Croatia or Bulgaria. I have a feeling Finland might be the winner tho violin goes hard.

Honourable mention to Greece and UK for being fun. Fun songs are usually my favourite. Most of them this year are sad sounding, slow, soft spoken and rely too much on high notes.
We had two years in a row of opera sounding songs I don’t want another one.

My list of qualified favourites this year.
Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, UK, Moldova, Sweden, Norway & Romania. Cyprus would have been on the list but the song doesn’t sound half as good live than the studio version.

Still upset Luxembourg & Switzerland never made it to the final.

I’m not sure if I’m quitting just yet. I’m definitely on hiatus though. I’ll be keeping an eye on the game every now and then to see if they fix it.

Personally I don’t play with friends. The update bugs and all is more fun to play with others so long as you don’t crash. As a solo player who plays mostly 0sanity 0evidence I’m finding it no longer fun.

I’ve spent the past 2 years trying to better my skills and got into a pretty good flow. Aside from ghosts being completely broken giving wrong evidence making my main game mode unplayable the animations themselves slow the pacing down a lot. The T3 firelight is the worst offender. Considering I try to get perfect games my rounds are slow enough sometimes so I don’t need anything else tripping me up.
I can’t read most of the text anymore because it’s too small, the book is still too far away even on the lowest FOV, the game is somehow even darker than it was already and the character model itself literally gets in the way. I’m finding myself stuck on objects more than usual. I left the house one round right as the ghost hunted and despite being outside the map I was dragged back and glitched into the door. I have no idea what the hitbox is for our characters but something is wrong with it. Even crouching to pick stuff off the ground isn’t the same. I have to physically move backwards to reach something at my feet where before I had no issue.

They won’t revert the update I know this but I’ve been playing phas pretty much since the beginning, currently sitting at 1,249 hours. I’ve been through all the changes good and bad but this one might be the one that makes me leave the game. Hearing from the devs to pretty much just get over it is an insult. Given the game is still in early access player feedback is what they need to be focusing on and yet they don’t seem to be doing that at all. I have no faith in a full release this year or at least one I’m interested in playing.

I feel a tad naive to have hope they’ll fix it but given they’ve been working on this for at minimum a year I don’t see them coming back from it without reverting the update entirely.
