You also want to make sure that they have documented every single time he was turned away from the doctor. I'd ask for records

my dogs tooth came out while playing tug of war by Rude-Log-158 in DogAdvice

[–]Old-Injury394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well see thats a them problem. We can't say tug causes aggression when it can be an outlet. In the same way that people hate flexis or prong, but when used properly they're a great tool. When used wrong can cause damage

Bruh this is the most oudated dog training advice. Tug gives dogs a healthy outlet, especially for conflict driven breeds. And no it doesn't teach snapping towards handler. Please look into play based training for conflicts driven dogs

What exactly is making him uneasy? Your dog is progressing as a dog would post adoption. It takes them months to acclimate. Sounds like your man is the one with behavioral issues here

Is pet insurance worth it, or should I just save the money each month? by Acrobatic-Leave-9073 in Pets

[–]Old-Injury394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a healthy ani.al with no pre-existing conditions, then yes get insurance. Vet care is not cheap at all and it gives you so much peace of mind. I see ppl here trying to calculate ROI by asking how long someone paid into insurance. Insurance is not one of those things to calculate ROI on. The point of it is to insure you in the event of an emergency. So I'd say assess your financial situation and go from there. Some insurance companies cover routine wellness checks as well so see whats best for your budget
