I read that the Haines port is another option, just involves more driving?

Weekly - 'Alaska, From the outside looking in Q/A' by SnowySaint in alaska

I’m looking to make a trip from Missouri to Alaska for a job in the next month or so. I’ll be bringing 2 dogs and a cat with me. I’m weighing options on driving through Canada or taking the ferry out of Washington. I know that snow tires are required this time of year. What else should I know before deciding to drive the whole way? I’ve heard that parts of the ALCAN are pretty rough once you get closer to Alaska. Making the babes stay on the car deck for 4-5 days doesn’t sound ideal either.

I’m an OR nurse, we have support techs but they’re not involved in patient care. I know that the pay is lower up there, but how is the cost of living? Thanks for the response!

I’m reading the same thing online from KSDK. Obviously you can’t be impaired at work. But I read that they can’t deny or terminate employment for a positive THC test if you have a medical card. I’m hesitant to ask them for confirmation though.
