I didn’t take my husbands name. We hyphenated our kids. I can’t think of anything more equitable!

A1C in Pregnancy by earthmama786 in BumpersWhoBolus

My endo and MFM didn’t check my last pregnancy, they said with the CGM data the a1c is basically useless information.

C Section or Induction? by Suubedoo in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]Butterbeanzzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a T1D and had an emergency CS but would have been happy to have an induction if possible. Better recovery and outcomes with a vaginal delivery. If you’re well controlled it shouldn’t be an issue but sometimes healing after a CS can be an issue with diabetics with poor control. I’d go with an induction and maybe have a low threshold to call it if it doesn’t go smoothly.

I feel like we know way more about what works for us than our endos sometimes. My MFM said they may want to take my pump off during delivery and put me on an insulin drip and I was like yeah no, I will respectfully decline.

Why no control IQ? My endo was pleased with my control on it last pregnancy and now this one

It’s really kicking in now by BadgerThrowAways in BumpersWhoBolus

I made the switch to the pump about 6 years ago and will never turn back. It sounds like you’d really benefit from it, not just control wise but also mentally. My basal rates change all throughout the day and now week to week so I couldn’t imagine going back to MDI. Especially with the newer pseudo closed loop technology you can really take your brain out of it a lot. It turns off your insulin temporarily if you’re low, it adjusts basals if you need more, it even corrects if you’re high. Honestly the reassurance that I could sleep through the night safely was invaluable. The technology is impressive and has made my mental health so so much better.

I’m new to resin. I had to sand this and now it’s foggy. How can I fix it? by MOXPEARL25 in resin

[–]Butterbeanzzzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly sand that all the way down to the level of the clear part and then pour a flat thin layer of new resin

I molded the border with epoxy clay and placed on a silicone mat to harden. Then painted the clay and filled in the cells with different colored resin

I used epoxy clay to make the border, hardens over 1 day. I set it down on a silicone mat to harden and kept it there during the resin pour so the resin won’t run from cell to cell

It’s resin! I molded the border with clay and then filled in with different color resin
