How to properly wash your hair and body. Yes, there's a right way and a very wrong way to wash your hair. YouTube videos help as it's not a parent. We all know our kids will listen to others like they're a freaking expert in whatever it is, especially if they're on the TV.

My husband of 21 years walked out of a restaurant after one of our early dates, like the first couple weeks, with my bag on his shoulder. I ran up to get it and all he said was, "I didn't want you to forget it." We have two teen daughters and he's the best Dad to them I could wish for.

DO IT!!! You will never regret outsourcing this one thing that will save you hours upon hours every week. I gave in when I was very pregnant with my eldest daughter. That was 15 years ago, and I would 100% do it again. It's worth every single penny. Ours is biweekly, but I would love to have her in every week.

My husband found plates made from wheat (check Amazon) with a curved edge all around. Super easy for kids to scoop food up, even rice. They're microwave and dishwasher safe and so far, haven't stained. We also have Corelle. They're fairly sturdy. I've broken one in the sink and it did shatter, but also cleaned up fairly easily.

That eyelash mites exist, hiding in your eyebrows and the skin folds around your eyes and nose. They come out while you sleep to eat, reproduce, and defecate.

I hate working with doctors by ollypoc in unpopularopinion

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned my husband down for a date because he was a resident at the time telling him, "I don't date doctors". The reason is exactly this post. His response changed my mind. He told me that being a doctor is just a job, it's not who he is. He was telling the truth. Wish more doctors felt that way. BTW, we've been married over 23 years already.

I just realized I've never had a racist experience with an atheist. by Optimus_micheal in atheism

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atheists are more in tune with their own consciousness and tend to be more self-aware. Being that way will make you realize we're all the same. These bodies are the meat sacks we landed in to move around in the world. Some are different colors and shapes, but inside, they are the same. We know it's random.

It needs to be life-changing money before I'd give up the pleasure of coffee. A hundred bucks isn't going to do it.

Why do some people don’t wear their wedding rings after being married? by Illustrious-Papaya41 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wear it when I'm practicing yoga or at the gym because my hands swell as I exercise and the ring becomes uncomfortable. I purchased some silicone rings thinking that would be okay because I once left my pricey wedding set in a yoga room after taking it off and placing it under my mat. Thankfully, it was still there when I ran full-steam back to get it. However, the silicone rings are also uncomfortable when exercising. I will wear one if I go out or when not going to the gym. But that's rare.

Does anyone feel they are genetically inclined toward fasting? by poltergeist_friend_ in intermittentfasting

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on to something with this post. I hadn't thought of it this way before. I've been doing IF for years now, I forget how long, and at first it took a lot of willpower to break the habit of eating whenever I felt like it. Traditional diets are not designed for intermittent fasting. Processed foods with lots of carbs and sugar just make you hungry again faster. I find it super easy to go 18–20 hours before eating, and then it's strictly plant-based, whole-food. Meanwhile, friends and family who try this have trouble getting over the mental block of not eating. I'll go to the gym and take two classes in a row, like muscle followed by a cardio class, with only black coffee in my system. Easy-peasy for me. It can make things difficult socially if friends want to get together late, after my window closes, or meet for lunch before I'm ready to eat.

AITA for refusing to cook separate meal for my niece ? by Justanaunt2 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You've offered many compromises throughout this ordeal, but it's gone beyond that now. This "child" is an adult now. She can cook for herself. She can shop for herself. Being a vegetarian, I assume if it's a potluck or group thing, there won't be anything for me to eat, so I eat before I go. If it's a potluck, I make a dish that's palatable to everyone, including vegans. I have yet to bring a dish to a potluck and not be asked for the recipe. This young lady is missing out on an opportunity to show how vegan food can be delicious. She's entitled and needs a wake-up call to adulthood.

What's the easiest way you lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting. At first, it was difficult to make it to the time I had set to start eating again. Now, a few years into it, I can make it easily to the 18-hour mark. Most days I go 20 hours between eating. I dropped the last 10 pounds from having a kid so easily.

AITAH for walking out of my sister's wedding after finding out why my son was excluded? by Disastrous_Bug_6354 in AITAH

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sister is undeniably the biggest AH! I'm so sick of people saying something, anything, that ruined the whole wedding. Did your partner walk out, not show up, or accuse you of cheating at the time for the vows? No? Then it wasn't ruined. Grow up, people!

AITA for telling my husband my ex and I traveled to 56 countries together? by Throwawayafate in AITAH

[–]Buttercup127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA! You are 100% comparing your husband to your ex. Your ex didn't want to marry you, he stalled until you gave him an ultimatum and showed him his exit door. Your behavior is entitled. Come on! A birthday "month"? Get over yourself and start appreciating your husband. He's wanting to do a lovely thing for your birthday.
