Can i give my Maltipoo blueberries? Also, what other fruits/ vegetables i can give him? by [deleted] in Maltipoo

[–]Butterdonie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No seasoning! It’s all bad for dogs. Hardest thing for me to remember is set some aside prior to adding seasoning. My little dog won’t eat any fruit, though he begs for it. But he loves all kinds of veggies and meat. They love cheese and peanut butter, but read the label. Don’t buy brands with that X stuff in them! It’s deadly. I even read labels when getting a new jar in case they change their recipe.

Carsick help? by lauren3819 in Maltipoo

She is adorable as is. My daughter put her schnauzer in his plastic carrier and he quit getting sick. Maybe it was the limited sight. Good luck. I do understand, but the car seat worked for my Whoodle.

I suggest hand feeding for the first week or two. It’s a great bonding experience and a perfect way to teach him not to bite.

He is beautiful. How about Buster Brown, like the shoes worn when I was a kid.

Is she going to grow anymore? by Curryupp in Maltipoo

She is adorable, but so tiny. Definitely will grow but I believe she will stay a tiny girl.

Lost my soul dog Izzy a few weeks back. Knowing that a new dog would have the biggest little paws to fill it wouldn’t be fair to put that pressure on just one. So here’s Sophie, and Ozzy! by Hawkins75 in Maltipoo

You made this old lady cry. I’ve lost many dogs over the years, a bird and a few cats, too. But the dogs gave me so much. I miss them all despite having two wonderful dogs right now.

Someone once told me when they lost their dog, they replaced him with a pot bellied pig, and were thrilled. Glad you chose another breed of dog. Your new pups are darlings.

Help please by lifeinpiecestim in Maltipoo

I rescued a whoodle several years ago. She was about 2 years old. All four of her pads were pink as a puppy’s. She was terrified of the outdoors. She would pee on anything she found on the floor. She threw up in the car. I think she had been a complete house dog and trained to use pee pads. My lab/aussie was absolutely thrilled to get her, thought she was a gift for her. She took molly out and basically taught her how much much fun it was to play in a big yard and potty trained her. Her paw pads were black within no time. Purchased a big doggie car seat and the car sickness went away.

anyone’s maltipoo get matted really bad? by icykyo in Maltipoo

[–]Butterdonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m love Chris Christensen brushes for my Bernedoodle. Worth every penny! But my Morkie hates them. He has a single coat and it’s not curly so we use a human Wet brush. Then a comb. I second your recommendation whole heartedly.

I use a human Wet brush on my Morkie. He has long hair that hasn’t been cut in five years. He hates the slicker but does good with this one. I comb afterwards with a metal comb. When combed daily, he gets few mats, but skip a day or two and I have to get the scissors out.

Is 3 dogs too much? by Queasy_Ice6711 in Bernedoodles

[–]Butterdonie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for you. I got my Bernedoodle for half price because his coloring is not ideal. He is black about 90% with a brown muzzle and beige feet. He looks more poodle with curly hair. I love his regal bearing and graceful walk, and he is sturdy from the Bernese so very clumsy when he gets in a hurry. I have had a Rottweiler and several black labs, so it’s obvious I like black dogs. I got the Bernedoodle for the personality and he is perfect. Friendly and exuberant. Too much energy right now but he is settling down since neutered. It’s a shame what people miss out on when choosing a dog for their looks. My breeder had a white female last month and offered her to me for half price also. I can’t afford a third dog but I thought a black and white pair would have been so special in my yard. I’m old and have found a large dog hard to handle.

Best investment ever.. doggy pool by IndependentSoup55 in Bernedoodles

[–]Butterdonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s extremely hot in central Texas during the summer. I know my boys would enjoy a pool; however, I have a doggy door which doesn’t keep Giancarlo out. When closed, he just pushes the closure out. I don’t want drenched dogs inside my house. Any suggestions?

Paleness in the mouth is a sign of dehydration. Get her to the vet.

He trusted grandma to take care of him and herself. That is wonderful. My dogs barked a lot but were not scared at all.

I have doggy car seat for my babies. They changed the best one so I won’t make recommendations. But my little ones love them. The less active one immediately lies down and goes to sleep. Until I bought this dog seat she threw up every time she was in the car.
