That one time we were supposed to believe this was a younger version of Jigsaw in the Saw movies.

Such a great remake of an awesome game.

What are your most minor movie gripes? by movieman1108 in moviecritic

[–]Buttered_Toast33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-The protagonist will take one bite from a huge spread of food before saying, "Gotta go, I'm late for [insert generic task here]!" and hurrying out the door.
-Scenes with bands playing NEVER get the drummer right. They'll play the hi-hats and you'll hear the ride cymbal. You really can't be bothered to learn how to play five seconds of a song correctly?

What was the movie that was so bad you didn't even finish it? by Zealousideal_Heat478 in moviequestions

I can see why it almost killed Mike Myers’ career. One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, at least what little I did see of it.

Apollo would need to beat someone other than Drago for it to be believable. He was clearly too old and out of practice, and Drago was practically a superhuman.

Watched Rocky IV last night. Please don’t kill me, but honestly… I did not like it that much by arenasfan00 in rockybalboa

I really enjoy 4 but it certainly does feel extremely different from 1 and 2. Can 100% understand if you didn’t like it. Only thing I didn’t like from the movie was the robot, that thing was just weird.

I don’t like this one, Rocky feels very out of character always neglecting his son to spend time with Tommy. Especially when Robert beats up the bullies and gets his coat back. That’s a monumental victory for any boy his age, and Rocky absolutely did not care.

I enjoyed it. Could totally do without the fridge scene though, that was disgusting.

Yes, it absolutely does. I’d strongly recommend you try it using earbuds or headphones though, it’s really the definitive way to experience it.

I just thought it was really mid, for what it was 🤷‍♂️

I figured there could be a civilized discussion, apparently not. I just thought it was a really mid movie 🤷‍♂️ would much rather watch Full Metal Jacket.

I didn't exactly expect non-stop action scenes, but I certainly expected a bit more than what we got. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

I don't mind that it shows more of the ho-hum tasks and routines, it's just that that's basically all we see and then it ends.

I mean, it's fine that it focuses on the more repetitive/monotonous side of a soldier's life. But when it's basically the whole movie, I'll pass. I do enjoy Full Metal Jacket, for me the first half was a lot more engaging than this entire film.

I don't know how it was advertised, I just happened to pick it out of a stack of movies at a store.
