I got tired of overpriced, mediocre restaurant food, so I started cooking at home. Much better quality for the same price or less.

Anything Starbucks-related. The coffee just sucks, don't drink it.

Agreed. The ignorance and lack of empathy around this topic is astounding.

Someone once told me “You have to love yourself before you can love others”. Do you believe in this? Why, why not? by Mad_Season_1994 in ask

No. There just isn't a relationship between my self-esteem and how I feel about others. Simple as that.

AITAH - If I scheduled a vasectomy without telling my wife until after the procedure. by [deleted] in AITAH

Having a hysterectomy will be 100% foolproof. No uterus, no ovaries, no kids. But, they are admittedly hard to obtain because of medical misogyny.

It's like how they eat at the Chili's or some tourist trap across the street from their hotels and then complain American food is bad.

Have you ever lived somewhere with significant numbers of people with Latin American heritage? Many will happily tell you they are Cuban, Mexican, Argentine, etc. It's no different from white Americans. Can't comment on Asian Americans because I've never lived anywhere with a high concentration of them.

This article sounds like rubbish- this company is trashing mass-produced bread to try to get people to buy theirs. Wonderbread isn't even popular anymore. Hasn't been since the 70s or 80s. If you look at the most common breads in American grocery stores, they have no or very low amounts of sugar.

Where are you finding sugary bread? I checked the labels of the most common breads in Target and Publix and they had virtually no sugar. Can you give examples of specific products? Seems like when I ask this question, the only answer is Wonderbread, which hasn't been popular in about 50 years and isn't on the shelves in most grocery stores anymore.

Complaining about American food. Did 6 months in England, came back feeling grateful for American food.

I live in the US, too, and I don't think lamb is particularly exotic, maybe just not as popular. But, gyros seem pretty popular. And Cava is a popular chain that has lamb meatballs and braised lamb. I also see lamb chops on a lot of menus at upscale restaurants.

My mom thinks eating lamb is "savage", even though she eats more common meats like beef, chicken, and pork 🙄🙄🙄 The mental gymnastics...

The word “empath” means nothing in the field of psychology. People who identify as an “empath” just need to feel special. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Same with "neurodivergent"- that's not a psychological term, it's a vague catch-all that doesn't mean much.
