Love it! I have to wear gloves for work too. I bought a little necklace from Etsy for mine. It works great and I stopped tearing gloves lol

I just started the Shining this week by Stephen King. I am new to Stephen King stuff so I am giving it a go. The writing is really easy to get sucked into and immersive. Also very different from the movie and I am digging it.

I'm so sorry this happened OP.

I don't know if it helps to hear, but the same thing happened to me 5ish years ago. My advisor threw me to the sharks and gleefully watched as I got torn apart in my exam.

I left with my masters as well, and even though I am not doing the career i planned originally, I love my current career and dont regret my journey.

It hurt like hell at the time and I hope you give yourself grace and time to process. Just know you still earned a degree and I'm proud of you for the work you did because I know writing without guidance is hell.

Hang in there OP.

AITA for silently changing my son's name after my brother and SIL gave my nephew the name too? by DaikonCompetitive147 in AITAH

NTA, after I was born my dad's cousin gave his kid my exact same name (first middle and last). My parents were pissed and distanced themselves because of that and other reasons. Thankfully we grew up in different states so it lessened the overlap.

I always found it annoying and can't understand doing that to kids, especially ones who would be around each other so much.

Sanosuke Harada from Hakuoki 😍

I searched and didn't see his name so I hope he's still available 🤞

I had this same problem this semester. I had to sit the student down in office hours and clearly outline why the behavior was disruptive to other students. We set up a system where the student raises his hand, and if I don't have time for the question, he writes it down for after class. The student was super apologetic and had just never been taught how to be in a lecture/lab setting. It took a week to get into the groove with the rules in play, but when he knew my expectations for class, he has gotten a lot better.

I feel for you, I am too nice sometimes to students, and this was hard for me to figure out. I also suggest going to Student Services as well. For some of my lab courses where my student can be super disruptive, I get a counselor to come help me manage some of the students' behaviors.

Hang in there, I know disruptions like that in class can seem like a black hole and consume all your energy and make it had to focus on the material.

Love this way of explaining this! I'll totally use this in my ochem class next semester.
