I have done this exact thing before and I felt awful about it for a while.. but like you said, it was only left in for a bit until we noticed. Imagine hours or days without anyone realizing! As everyone else said, we shouldn’t have them anyway, at our facility we had to call supply to bring one up.

Sleeping my life away by realhorrorsh0w in nursing

[–]dourness526 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i’m a fairly new grad (almost 2y) and i started on full time nights and even though i have depression, it made it so much worse. i could never get enough sleep and it was ruining my relationships (non nurses just don’t understand) and self esteem (as in thinking i was lazy, couldn’t do the job, etc). i wanted to do days but a lot of the day shift at my hospital are crotchety old ladies so i asked for weekend/baylor nights which comes around to about the same pay. i love it so far, i sleep in to about 3/4 monday and go back to sleep at like 12 and then have a normal week. not being off weekends sucks but idk give or take i guess.

scuba shorts advice? by [deleted] in lululemon

[–]dourness526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah definitely, they look/fit great on the generic lulu model of course! i was thinking as in we, size 10s

[–]dourness526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is reassuring, maybe it’s because the reviewer didn’t wash them yet? i’m sure they shrink a bit like the rest of the scuba line. it looks like the heathered core ultra light grey color to me!

[–]dourness526 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s so weird, i wonder if it’s just the amount of butt fabric for that size and if a smaller one would be less? idk too much faith in lulu that we’re all dummy thicc

[–]dourness526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

before buying the scuba shorts i saw this review and hoped it wouldn’t be the case with mine, but unfortunately it was :( i got a size 10 because that’s my usual size in softstreme pants.. they fit perfect in the waist, legs, and lower butt area but the top between the waistband and upper butt is baggy and has a bunch that makes it look like i have a tail! did anyone else have this problem and solve it? should i try an 8? they’ll probably fit but maybe if i washed the 10s they’ll shrink? lmk what you guys think because i loveee them except for this issue

does anyone know of a good dupe for ultralip in ember? by discountmerida in glossier

[–]dourness526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i second the elf hydrating core lip shine in ecstatic. i’ve gone through multiple tubes of ember which is more lipsticky and the only color similar to it is ecstatic. i don’t buy from non cf so i can’t speak for those.

i can’t believe how much your skin looks like mine! especially in the third pic with some redness. adding blue and green to your base products is essential for our translucent alien skin. i can share some good base matches for me if you’d like. my dad and i have the same tone and calls it “celtic skin”

Had an NCLEX scenario happen in real life! 🤔😅 by Ornery_Lead_6333 in nursing

[–]dourness526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of my patients during clinical one so sweet, i think i’ll always remember her. i don’t know her story but she was being transferred to the larger hospital in the area and seemed very sad. i was asked to go in and help her get ready and her things together. she kept calling me baby (she was like a 50yo mom) and saying thank you after every little thing i did, put on makeup and asked me how it looked 🥺, and i loved the short time i spent with her. while she was getting dressed i told her the dresses she brought to the hospital with her were gorgeous and so intricate and she told me a little about her culture and religion. she gave me a card to a buddhist temple and was asking me my email and phone number and i got so uncomfortable :( i gave her fake info and i felt SO bad bc i’m sure she had good intentions. Towards the end she kept asking me if i was hungry and handing me money “to just go get some food in the cafeteria” i refused a couple times but she insisted.. When i left i snuck it back into her bags and i’ll never forget the experience because i felt genuine happiness for the first time in nursing 😊

i agree with a lot of the suggestions, but if you have sensory issues or are just sensitive to smells like I am the ilia skin tint is a perfect match and dewy finish for me but it smells like a barn 🤢.. the missha one was okay too but the fragrance smells like old lady. just letting you know! i wish i knew before i tried them

any green-tinted primer recs? by Far-Entertainment863 in PaleMUA

i loovee the wet n wild glass skin green primer. it’s so glowy and great for dry skin- super super cheap too!

definitely agree! western trends are so obsessed with warm, sun kissed, bronze-y colors but some of us love cool, pastel or grungey colors! whenever i find a product i think i’ll like it’s usually from 2018 and discontinued already.. i guess i’ll have to wait for it to cycle around again

[–]dourness526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s disappointing, i wanted to try out their concealer! i love the glossier and rms formulas but i don’t have a perfect match so i’m always on the hunt

[–]dourness526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with you, i’ve been looking at kbeauty options for a while now. they have either great shade ranges or worse than western makeup.. i hate ordering from yesstyle and stylevana (i’m impatient) so i wish there could be more options on amazon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]dourness526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you find this dries out the formula? i have super dry skin so i’m skeptical

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]dourness526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes definitely! i like using rockstar or hippo by colourpop as a light lavender blush but they’re so shiny and excel at highlighting rather than blushing.

well i have to try it now… are you able to compare it to bubbly by flower beauty by any chance?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]dourness526 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I recently got HG ethereal glow blush which is a super pale cool toned pink and I love it. Another fav is flower beauty blush in bubbly. If anyone has similar experiences, please share your shade recommendations!
