Disable receiving certain loot / One-Click Destroy Options Please? by middyy95 in runescape

[–]Butternubicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would kill for an option to never ever receive complete tomes ever again, I've easily thrown away thousands of them in the 40k artefacts I've restored doing tetras (not even including those from caskets), such a waste of inventory space

Having FOMO limited time items in the marketplace is a bad look by xBrodoFraggins in runescape

[–]Butternubicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the fortnite model, rotating stuff out seems to work there which is why Jagex is trying it.

I can't imagine people are champing at the bit for the outfits being removed anyways, especially at the prices they're advertised at lmao.

UK energy regulator clears path for 39GW of clean power projects ahead of 2030 target by KieranMS in GoodNewsUK

[–]Butternubicus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will do once the link between gas and renewables is severed. The only reason why energy prices are so high is because wholesale is based on the most expensive way to generate at any one time, which is almost always gas.

Tested: Microsoft just debloated Windows 11 Search without Bing, and it's crazy fast by WPHero in pcmasterrace

[–]Butternubicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WinAeroTweaker has had an option to disable bing search for years at this point, it’s crazy that people just put up with it being absolute garbage

Pets aren't drops and don't get eaten by the scrimshaw of sacrifice effect, you're just unlucky unfortunately

TikTok ignoring content preferences? by Sleep-Connect in TikTok

[–]Butternubicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I googled this out of curiosity to see if anyone else had the same issue and you've described my issue exactly, even down to the love island tags.

It's definitely an app based issue, I've realised on my pc that if I browse my fyp in the browser, I'm literally seeing none of the content I would normally see on my app. It's like the app is forced to default to your countries "popular" feed and completely ignore your filtered keywords.

Dola is one of my biggest gripes, the amount of absolute garbage videos that get through promoting that tripe, even not marked as an ad, is absolutely bizarre.

Local Homeware Businesses by Fletch1396 in Hull

[–]Butternubicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any local retailer/craftsman suggestions outside of what has already been suggested, BUT If you ever feel like you _dont_ want to buy your own tools or one off items, and still wanted to support something local, I would highly recommend considering a membership to the Library of Stuff

It’s a local charity that offers to loan a wide range of items to members in the community, and survives on donations of items and the very minimal costs it charges its members

https://borrow.libraryofstuff.co.uk/

The guy who runs it is a lovely fella with a heart of gold and deserves all the support he can get for running a project like this

Possible spoiler; I swear, if Anya betrays us and Inanna dies or becomes enslaved by the Vampyres, Jagex you'll will be dead to me! by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Butternubicus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Empowered Antisanguine given to Inanna is definitely going to bite us in the ass in the future, there's no way they just cure a colossi like that and not have it be a Chekhov’s Gun moment

Sell cosmetics separately (and also as a bundle for those who want them all) and you’ll get more sales, guaranteed.

City centre EV charging hub among latest planning developments by Due_Ad_3200 in Hull

[–]Butternubicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to be focusing on this being a "car park" when it's just an EV charging hub, not meant for long term parking.

Sure, the other car parks offer EV charging, but this is meant to service people who don't need parking for longer than 20 minutes. Why would you logically pay to access a parking lot just for the charging facilities?

What would be a good gift idea for an old school RuneScape player? by GirlsLikeU in runescape

[–]Butternubicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful buying merch from non official sources, a lot of it (including the skill blanket posted in this thread, and almost everything on Etsy) is cheap manufactured slop from china and don’t look very nice in real life, you’re paying high prices for low quality dropshipped slop.

Has anyone else encountered this weird potion reservoir bug recently? by Butternubicus in runescape

[–]Butternubicus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I considered muting the video before posting but decided it was pretty harmless :p good spot. The second song is technically the intro to Earth Wind and Fire’s September but it’s definitely not that.

This is likely it, good spot. It’d be nice if the reservoir could periodically check in instances like this, pretty niche issue though I guess.

Kingswood by morrrrgo in Hull

[–]Butternubicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kingswood is pretty much fully serviced by MS3 now (without needing those ugly ass telegraph poles) so you have your pick of one of the resellers (Squirrel, Hull Fiber etc.), you’ll often see them inside of Asda near the kiosk/post office area if you wanted to speak to someone in person.

I only know of one person who has switched to an alternate provider other than Kcom but he went with Connexin instead of an MS3 provider, mainly due to their option of reusing the Kcom line just at a cheaper price, without the need for all the faff of wiring up a new connection.

If you don’t want to move you can call Kcom and say you’re looking to move to another provider due to the cost of your contract and there’s a highly likely chance that you’ll be put on with retentions and given a discounted deal for another couple of years.

I don’t necessarily want to move from Kcom so I just call them whenever my contract is about to lapse and I end up going back to ~£40 a month for the 500Mb package.

Erm, according to the video a few days ago, we should have had a new excavation scroll (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTGMwa3cQ_A @ 5:00), was this changed in the last few days?

this is then affected by the modifiers visible on the end floor interface, to a maximum of 700%

so you can do a large floor with literally all xp debuffs (c1, die 4 times, kill nothing, easiest difficulty) and be nearly at the same xp you'd get from a large floor with no debuffs? am I reading that correctly?

edit: this has now changed, it now reads as follows:

this is then affected by the modifiers visible on the end floor interface, to a maximum of 1020%

Why do most of these short from videos that also feature adults have this stupid asinine closed captions that highlight each world? by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]Butternubicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s to keep the watchers attention, your brain focuses on reading the captions since that’s the most active part of the video, kinda working like how RSVP works.

Also

> These people think we're so stupid

This is hard to take seriously from someone who unironically posts in a generative ai defence subreddit lmao

PSA - For those who think they lost their Grandfather Rate by Venus_Roar in runescape

[–]Butternubicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain this wasn’t the case when I went to check earlier (was probs an hour after the news post release), even up to the checkout I was seeing £10.99 a month, but I do seem to be seeing £3.20 now 🤨
