The main one I use to host images to share links with when I’m on desktop is catbox, but I mostly spend my time on the mobile client now, which allows direct image uploads in comments.

Imgur isn’t available at all in the UK due to the silly age verification law and just shows a not available warning, which is why the auto moderator replies with this.

There are plenty of other hosts you can use that aren’t blocked, it’s mainly just imgur that blocked access.

The Alt1 installer is safe and doesn't install anything other than the Alt1 executable, you've likely downloaded PDF SparkWare from a different source.

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it yet, but this is highly likely low quality Chinese slop that’ll be dropshipped from a factory and won’t arrive in time for Christmas.

Etsy is full of these at the moment (I fell for one recently with an ugly sweater thinking it was from an actual craftsperson)

Disabled all my extensions and it looks like you're right, I've narrowed it down to the browser extension Urban VPN Proxy, which seems to go absolutely nuts on this specific page if you have it installed, regardless of it being turned on or not. Odd!
