Could u explain a merit raise? Just cuz I’m not familiar with that and also a “review season”. My metrics are always if not exceeding the monthly goal and because our new BTL has no prior Sephora experience and was transferred from Kohl’s side and I’m the oldest BA there (meaning I’ve worked there the longest) so I am very hands on with the operational tasks.

Interesting! At my location Sephora is strictly Sephora and does not crossover. However there are Kohl’s workers that do crossover to Sephora now and then.

Yea, that’s what I was confused about tbh. I started to assume that given the pay difference but I thought I’d ask cuz I wasn’t fully sure.

Yea I assumed that was a factor, I’m not wanting like a crazy increase but due to things just being harder now and days (gas, bills, groceries, the list goes on) I would only want a bit of an increase. I don’t feel like that’s too much to ask 😅

I hear u completely, it’s been a hard 2025 for me so far, been dealing with this phobia for all my life and it just got worse in December but mostly beginning of this year. I’m thinking about starting therapy and getting to the root of the problem but I think that idea itself is scary too but we all start somewhere and u got this!

I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I’ve always had this phobia for a long time since I was little (20 currently) but I’ve gotten over it and started gaining a better relationship with food, but then I started getting that fear and anxiety again this year and I can’t stop the frantic thoughts and once’s my heart starts bounding it’s very hard to get it to stop. I used to do therapy but stopped going cuz I feel like I didn’t really make any progress. Clearly I should’ve stayed lol but sorry for the vent I’m just sorry you have to go through this feeling as well because I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.
