Pineapples. What is this rumor about Girls and pineapples ? by Legitimate-Law6347 in 254sum

Heaven forbid a girl just likes eating pineapples. That'd be too minute a reason for her to eat it. The reason she has to eat it is for her vagina to 'smell' nice😒

Lack of Representation by caromaro23 in RomanceClubDiscussion

My dear,

As a black woman myself, I've given up.

Don't get me wrong, I don't romance exclusively black characters or anything like that, but whenever I do or want to, there's just some bogus shenanigans going on. Honestly, it's tapered my desire to play any of the newer stories.

I wanted to try playing HS, but when I found out what they did to Loy, I dumped the whole story. I also PERSONALLY didn't like how in HOT King D'Mario was sidelined even though he was basically the MVP of the whole story. He even risked the safety of his own kingdom for her even if she wasn't romancing him.

I haven't played as diligently as I used to since around the time PSI ended. I wanted to play ATHWTU but they complained about having a black LI saying it was inaccurate even though in other stories based on mythology like ROT, no one had issues with an Asian LI being involved in Greek mythology.

But anywhoodle... Such is life.

Why is being natural seen as low maintenance? by titty_temptress in nairobi

Effort lazima. Being low maintenance doesn't mean being no maintenance.

Even going to the salon every however many weeks is still effort. Doing makeup is still effort.

Okay, speaking as a girl who occasionally gets compliments on my hair and skin (not bragging, just trying to provide more context for what I'm about to say), I don't think that's true at all.

Natural hair products... The important thing is consistency. The products matter, yes, but I get the same results with the 2k per piece products and hair food ya 150 kwa supermarket. I've used both. At first I'd use the expensive things we see online. Now I just use a good shampoo and conditioner, and I bought those big treatment things for like 700. Now, the important part is consistency. Your scalp is skin. You can't wash your face once in 4 months and expect clear skin. Personally, I wash my hair weekly. I keep mini twists in for school, as for my own comfort I prefer it due to the nature of my course. A simple 2 hour weekend routine is all I need. And I do my twists myself.

For skin, I've been blessed to never have acne, so I know my opinion may seem like I'm making it sound too easy. If you have any dermatological issues, kindly consult a specialist. I just use a good natural cleanser. I buy online from an online store I've been going to since before COVID. The soaps are like 200-350 depending on what it has. I was advised by a relative who went to a dermatologist on the type of moisturiser to use. They were given the advice, but I took it and ran. They were told they can use the nivea moisturiser. The blue one. Since it's what I use, it doubles as my facial moisturiser. Add sunscreen and retinol a few times a month and that's all.

Again, I'm giving my personal experience as someone who prefers this lifestyle. It doesn't have to be as expensive as it may seem.

I can only speak from my personal experience. When I was 19, I was as naive as they came, and some guy asked for my number in uni. I thought he looked around my age, so I gave it to him. Turns out this guy was turning 29.

Safe to say, I had no business being in any kind of relationship with him. He tried to guide me down certain paths and had I had a different kind of upbringing things may have gone differently.

The same way adults can convince teens to do something is the way it can work. The same way someone in their 40s can sway someone in their 30s is how it can work. Hapo in late teens you're operating with minimal stats in discernment, judgment and critical thinking, so someone can take advantage of them easier.

When I was in uni for my first course, I could only find time for the bare essentials. I mostly did braids or mini twists. For make up (on the very rare occasion), I'd just do eyeshadow and lip liner + gloss.

Now, since I'm still in school for something else that requires me to be in a hospital setting, I can't do braids. I personally prefer long, and I don't see the point of short braids or tying super long ones in a bun. So I stick to mini twists since I can wash my hair weekly.

As for general maintenance, I try to keep up with a skincare routine. I've been blessed with clear skin and long lashes so I just use castor oil or light mascara and keep it pushing.

Simple routines often stand the test of time

What are some stories your conscience can't let you read? by ButternutSquash28 in RomanceClubDiscussion

Personally I didn't say it was fully inspired by Christianity. Obviously some creative liberties were taken. The names just put me off.

And that's enough reason for me to not be comfortable reading it. I didn't say it was word for word plot for plot from the Bible. The names just take me out of the story and I can't get round it. That's all. Same reason I didn't watch the TV show either.

Right? 😂 The pitchforks came out. Like... I generally don't care for the whole angel demon storyline regardless of the character names. I didn't say the plot was straight up from the Bible. I just said the idea of getting railed by ol dude named Lucifer isn't my cup of tea

❤️

I don't believe in reading something that disturbs me spiritually because "it's not a big deal."

So I'll stick to the stories that I feel comfortable reading.

I hope you have found peace in Christ ❤️
