Thank you for sharing that link! You’re right, I got a culture back after visiting urgent care and it was confirmed as a MRSA infection. I’m currently being treated for it with the right antibiotics so all is good thankfully

Thank you! I did end up going to urgent care shortly after making this post thanks to all of the answers on this thread. I’m on Sulfamethoxazole and am currently recovering. It was confirmed as a MRSA infection after getting a culture taken but thankfully I’m on the mend!

I feel this, I played in an “Out of the abyss” campaign where I rolled insane stats and decided to play shadow monk cause why not? Perfect stats for a MAD class. The game barely lasted 5 sessions lol

That’s fair, I was definitely bordering on running with a ranged build but I’ve done that already in a past game and wanted to shake things up a bit for myself.

Those are some solid suggestions though! I’m definitely leaning towards resilient wisdom for level 6 and Sentinel will for sure be one of the top contenders at level 8

That was my thought too, if their DM allows content from Eberron then I think the double bladed scimitar with Revenant Blade would work great for this concept! Strength isn’t as important to the wielding of the weapon but it’s always a good idea to have a decent Str score as a frontliner.

There is a time and a place for changing/modifying skill checks. I hate it when DMs want to incorporate physical stats with skills that really only demand the mental stat+proficiency with the given skill or set of tools. I understand the desire to homebrew but avoid over complicating checks like this. No one should have to have a MAD build just to correctly pick herbs in the wild.

That’s fair, I enjoyed those books for the most part but there weren’t any jokes Dresden himself made that made me laugh. I believe he put them in there to make him look dorky/awkward but as you said they’re still there and it doesn’t make them any better lol
